I think it’s really true to life, though, Tess’s (and young Kate’s) behavior.  Pretty much every teen girl I knew, including me, including my daughter, were jerks to their moms for a good few years.

I agree - I think in general it’s a lot easier to be “okay” with your kid’s sexuality (whether that’s their sexual orientation, gender or just being sex-positive) when they aren’t actually having sex. I prided myself on raising my daughter to be sex-positive, make her own choices about her body, etc. Now that she’s of

I heard it straight from a pulmonologist - smoke, don’t vape, weed. Something about our lungs not being built to inhale liquid in that way; he said it really isn’t good for you to vape it. (Edibles are what he recommends, obviously)

Yeah, the type (and quantity) of whatever drug he partook in is the real key here.  If girlfriend wants to give permission for someone to take two hits of a joint, then she’s got some control issues.  If girlfriend wants to know if boyfriend is doing lines over the picnic table in the backyard, I think she is well

Depends on the drug they’re recreating with, and how much of it. I have no moral obligations to smoking weed but my partner is NOT a hit it and quit it kind of person. I’ve seen him burn through half an ounce in a little over a week. That’s A) way excessive, B) too expensive and C) turns him into a couch potato who

Does anyone know if all of the Stabler kids (other than Kathleen, who is quite obviously Kathleen of old) are the same actors as they were? (Also, way to make me feel old with Eli now being a teenager. It’s just rude, Dick Wolfe.)

He is really great.  I loved him in Hannibal as well.  He just oozes class even when he’s playing someone seedy.

Oh, maybe I gave him a fictional promotion in my mind then.

I’m just VERY excited to have Benson and Stabler back together, no matter how dumb and contrived it is. (Why is SVU being called to a car bombing in the first place?)

Jack’s busy being the NY AG, I think.

Amaro was terrible.  The only person worth watching in those seasons is Barba.  And his suits.

Listen, Cragen had his sobriety to contend with, not to mention falling in love with a working girl and being framed for murder.  He didn’t have time to go chasing around his detectives.

I’m only now realizing (as I age and age!) how much crap I internalized about it, too.

I’ve met teachers and cops who are libertarians and I’m just baffled by the entirety of their world view.  So, you just . . . want to not be paid?

Yep, definitely. I married a person not my gender and all of a sudden, apparently I was no longer into the ladies?  Or at least that’s what I heard from more than one person.  I was unaware that with a marriage license also came a renouncing of a person’s sexuality!

It me.

It always struck me as odd when a self-professed libertarian runs for office or joins the military.  So you’re  . . .  working to get rid of your job?

I think it’s in one of the flash forward scenes at Kevin’s fancy lake house when the family gathers to say goodbye to Rebecca.

I’m still upset over the snowglobes, a week later.

Harmful idea: that bisexuality didn’t exist. I grew up at a time when people were JUST starting to talk about the gays in the suburbs and the idea that a person could like boys and girls (and/or nonbinary but gender identity was even less talked about than sexuality at that point) was, like, not even presented as an
