The Judds were one of the great country music acts of all time, IMHO. This seems like an appropriate time for my favorite single of theirs:

Rest in Peace. A great harmonizing vocalists of country. Nothing too theatrical or showy, just a wonderful pure voice.

Hey, hey, hey, now. Scientology’s very egalitarian. Man or woman, you’re free to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to pledge your soul to - checks notes - a failed science fiction author whose thickshittery nearly once started a war with Mexico in WWII.

Not in its current form but founder Bikram Choudhury was a creep who ran it like a cult and did just that.

I think you’d be surprised just how much of a cultural moment JK Rowling’s attack on transpeople was for younger people, at least in the UK (trans-rights in the last two-three years has basically become the major generation dividing issue in terms of social views in the UK now).

I’d add that given the “innies” are basically children with no external frame of reference that the Keir stuff kind of works, since they would have no other belief system. I like that in their world, they’re so starved for any material, that Rickon’s The You You Are becomes a profound text for them.

Bridgerton was at one point the most popular series ever released on Netflix. It’s not exactly a galaxy brain idea that an entertainment website would cover it at least in part - and Gwen was the one to do so in season 1, so it basically makes sense she would also write a review of season 2.

As a middle aged white woman, I have watched every one of the limited series mentioned at the beginning of this article. And I will watch this too. They are all mediocre, but they’re like a bowl of chicken soup. Comforting in their bland familiarity. Not a main course, but good for a light lunch aka background noise.

Yes, God forbid the little people earning a wage get treated with dignity and respect. I guarantee Sam Levinson was getting all the breaks he needed.

You mean a little kid who has grown up around drug dealing and violence might not make the perfect calculated decision under pressure?

Yeah but that kind of casual cruelty to anyone with the faintest whiff of being an outsider was everywhere in kid and teen entertainment in the 80s so it’s hardly out of nowhere.

As big a POS as Abbott is, Lt. Gov. Patrick is even worse. Dreadful, dreadful. dreadful people.

Unforgivable after his anti-abortion bill, but he insisted the energy companies keep charges high during our terrible winter storm as well. He’s inhuman, rivaled only by Gov. DeSantis across the gulf. It’s like they are competing to see which leader can be the bigger piece of shit.

I wouldn’t wish anything bad on Abbott, god forbid. But if he drops dead from a sudden brain hemorrhage, I hope it’s on-camera so I can Tivo it, make popcorn, and watch it over and over again.

I can tell you from experience as a crewmember: No. No, we would not want that.  We already work enough long ass hours and being forced to do so even more is not worth the overtime that we may not even get anyway.

Yeah, 10-15 minutes late is one thing, shit happens, but 3 hours? That’s “I don’t give a damn” late.

Theron’s description of the events paired with her apology (because of course she’s apologizing) sets you up for typical “actors being fussy dickheads with each other” nonsense, but it really does seem like Tom Hardy was a completely inconsiderate asshole who revelled in disrespecting the cast and crew by wasting

Oh, the school vouchers thing is a truly brilliant way to remove a public service.

Dude, Finn is essential! He's a gamer! He once mentioned Civ 6 AND Kotaku in the same sentence!

That is very much what Anna Delvey sounds like. Garner even met her in jail, so she has first hand experience of her accent.
