Don’t worry, Elon is handling the marketing. And really starting to make some progress on the anti-Semite demographic.

Maybe this should be a requirement for anyone with a drivers license before they can have a smart phone.

I used to think everyone was an asshole and then I learned a lot of them had no idea. So I guess stupid rather than an asshole, because surely at some point that information was put in front of them or at least they could discern it from people aggressively cutting around them and flipping them off every day.

I can’t believe someone is asking for money in exchange for a 2004 Chrysler 300M. I would have assumed the only way to get one of these cars is from the passing of your grandmother. The exchange of one between individuals outside of a family is probably more rare than the sale of Ferrari 250s. This could truly be your

It doesn’t seem like this is the same program David used, that was through the power company and this looks like it’s through the state.

Had an issue recently with a ‘21 Cherokee that felt like the lockup on the torque converter was doing whacky shit - sometimes it felt you’d hit the gas and it didn’t want to shift for 3 or 4 seconds (which doesn’t exactly instill confidence turning onto a busy road) but sometimes it would slam into the next gear on an

I don’t think a lot of people understood your point, but I thought it was pretty clear.

Translation : “We thought we’d have more orders by now”

I never really got the appeal of the Eurovan, beyond “it’s a VW van” I guess. The recent drivetrain work should make it relatively reliable, but while finding parts shouldn’t be impossible I’m assuming they come at a premium.

Waiting eagerly for something to happen in NY. I really want one. And more importantly, it’s a real shame that so many people were left hanging on trucks that were legally imported and registered for years.

I think you’re in the right range if it’s as clean underneath as it looks. I’d say a rusty-ish one around here would sell for 6-7k, and this would command that premium. Pre-pandemic, I looked at a few manual 540s that were pretty rough - basically roll of the dice whether they’d last 1 year or 3 years before the

Financial foolishness is the only way to describe any G-wagon purchase in the last 2 decades (at least in the US were they only sell premium versions). You only buy a G-wagon to be seen in a G-wagon. So it doesn’t really matter if it’s $150k or $300k - they’ll probably sell the same number.

We had full cloud cover in western NY, which was of course a big bummer. We at least had a lovely afternoon with friends and some grilling and could look forward to it getting dark during the totality. We were all completely unprepared for how quickly it got dark. For half an hour it was slowly getting a little darker

Kia started calling the Soul a crossover, though.

Shocking that sales aren’t booming on $60k+ trucks.

That’s obviously because they are better.

This is pretty crazy depreciation. I was expecting a bit more than a standard S-class, and that this was originally a $130k+ car with a lundry list of crazy options so it would be something like a 35-40% depreciation. Over 55% is sort of crazy, particularly because it’s a CPO vehicle.

Good answer, but I think that targets a specific demographic. There were a lot of older folks that went the direction of reliable, cheap transportation. The ones that made Scion such an old-folks brand and bought Aveos and Sonics and Fiestas, because why drop big $$ on a Caddy that’s parked half the year while you’re

It’s common for a plastic tailgate trim to house the components I mentioned. On many cars it’s much smaller, just a bit wider than the license plate and a couple inches tall. On many SUVs/hatchbacks it goes the full width and often up to the back window glass. This allows for design elements that couldn’t be stamped

It appears that’s in the plastic trim that houses the license plate lamp and opening handle and, in this case, the reverse lamps. On vehicles I’ve worked on, that whole assembly wasn’t water tight, the holes in the sheetmetal for the wiring were gasketed. It should be checked if any of those seals were impacted,
