#1 is where my head was when I proposed the option, but she does do a lot of running around most days to do other animal visits or her part-time job, which can add up quickly. It would probably be fine, and rarely an issue, but it’s the range anxiety thing.

I’d suspect that prior to being driven in salt water, rust was probably a minor concern in Kuwait. But I could be wrong.

Oddly, despite our house being 125 years old, we have a pretty different situation. 100 amp panel, but there’s already a disused 240v circuit to our laundry room which now has a gas dryer. The outlet is directly inside of where I would mount a charger on the side of the house anyway. We also have a gas hot water

I drove one of these around for a day many moons ago when they were new. I’m sure the first EV I’ve ever driven and at the time I think only the Leaf and Roadster existed outside of California (And the compliance vehicles they got there).

I’m here for team anti-automatic climate control. It works perfectly fine when it’s really cold or really hot. In between it generally does a shit job.

Fair enough!

It has the same issue a contemporary S55 would - whatever the opposite of the goldilocks zone is. It’s old enough that you can get an interesting, more reliable, and equally fast SUV a decade newer for that price. But it’s not old enough to be a classic and there are a lot of shitty MLs of that generation rolling

I’m with you that those are solid cars that will continue to age well, but they’ve already proven themselves so it’s a bit unnecessary to put them on this list.

Don’t forget they don’t mind selling an off-line built vehicle that doesn’t fully work - and I can’t blame them since people will apparently pay more for it if you call it a launch edition. So I think more like one out of a hundred than a million.

I never really understood why you’d want to own a vehicle with Indy or Daytona or whatever graphics on the side. Obviously if it was a truck that was actually used at the event, that would be pretty cool. And I guess when I see a Grand Prix with Pace Car logos, that’s cooler than a regular Grand Prix, but only for a

Cupholders that are removable for cleaning (or have the little rubber inserts at the bottom that pop out) are underrated.

The Equinox I just got at work has the 360 cam, and it’s definitely nice to have in tight parking lots even though it’s far less boxy than a lot of current compensation-mobiles SUVs/trucks out there. But the front camera has been pretty well obscured by road salt for a couple weeks now. I prefer to see over the front

I guess it depends what we’re including in “most”, but a lot already aren’t legal - they just aren’t enforced.

I think both of those are examples of great vehicles that lose a lot of appeal because of perception of the owners.

I don’t think it’s an insane price for a unique camper that should be cheaper to maintain than a Westfalia. It looks to be in decent shape and a nice weekend rig. But I have no love for Aerostars, ND

The battery warranty is probably handled differently, you’re right. But the rest of the powertrain may still lose coverage. In any case, due diligence is recommended.

I don’t mind the bulbous look, it’s unique - smooth without being bland. But ND for any slanty-roofed “crossover”.

The 10yr/100k warranty transfers (or used to anyway) as a 5yr/50k(maybe 60k, not 100% sure).

If it helps, they probably don’t use much deicing fluid in Florence
