“I don’t have a pension, why should they?”
“I don’t have a pension, why should they?”
The initial proposal you outlined above isn’t reasonable. And the counter offers from the automakers were also not reasonable. The point is they need to meet somewhere in the middle.
Oh, good point. Cute and quirky are loathed. It would need to be mean looking.
Americans seem to hate boxy vehicles. I don’t know if it’s because they look to utilitarian or what the deal is. Anyone who got an early xB, Element, Cube, or Soul loved them. But most people thought they were ugly and went to spend more money on a less practical vehicle instead. The Element fell into the early days…
I have no problem with crying infants on planes. It’s not their fault they are uncomfortable and sometimes you need to fly to get places, so it is what it is. Toddlers having meltdowns, however, is a whole different story when you are in the row in front or behind them.
I just looked it up on google because it’s not even on their moto website. It’s definitely cool, and for a similar price to this e-motocompo it would probably fit my needs better. But I want a real Supercub equivalent that I can ride on the streets (and I’m willing to pay for it)
I listened to a podcast about the writers strike (before the SAG also went on strike) and they talked about how the Teamsters helped on so many levels. Not just many of them refusing to break the lines and go onto studio lots, but even just the trucks driving by and honking did a ton to boost morale and pump people up.
I got very excited by this. The excitement was tempered a little bit by the speed and range (I understand the purpose is to get you to your destination after parking or riding transit, it’s not meant to be a regular scooter, but I want Honda to offer an electric Cub so badly). The excitement came back with the price…
I went from “Hard No” at the title, to “Ok, it’s a JCW so that’s probably an ok price”, back to “Hard No” with the automatic.
It seems like they are actually interested in selling it now, so maybe it will. The way they spec it with model combinations makes it seem like they never wanted to sell it to fleets as work trucks (or they wanted the big upsell from a basic work truck). I suspect they’d want you to buy a $70k+ expedition before you…
I don’t know if these are particularly sought after models, but a nice turn-key classic pickup seems to be in the mid-to-high-teens these days and this one is unique and interesting. NP if it holds up to a closer inspection on age related maintenance.
Generally there is a specific hole and they have the car (or A car anyway) there with someone from the dealership greeting the golfers and watching the proceedings. Not sure from your comment if it was clear to you that it’s for a specific hole rather than all the holes. Also, I think usually it’s a par 3 sort of…
Last time one of these articles were posted, it was brought up that traditionally the sponsor (usually a car dealer) would take out some kind of insurance policy (which the presumably do for other sorts of promotions they aren’t expecting to win, which explains better how local mom & pop dealerships can be doing…
I worked at Uhaul for a while so I have a lot of hours under my belt driving their trucks and trailers (we used to go out about once a week to franchise shops and pick stuff up to bring back to our corporate owned location). Driving on hilly roads with a 6x12 or car hauler and feeling the surge brakes constantly…
That may often be the case, but I have a few crosswalks near me that won’t illuminate the walk sign at all unless you hit the button (and then hold the light longer). And a couple lights that are on sensors that won’t change if there’s no car present, and the button overrides that to change the light and give you a…
Bingo. A “cheap” one is still going to be $13k and have double the miles and look like it has double the miles.
That’s a good point. Though for the price of these new (and the practical hatchbackness) they tend to be bought by more sensible folks compared to, say, a GTI. And I’d guess the seller still payed an arm and leg to buy it from the original owner.
Well it’s marked sold, so maybe it’s not as obvious of a ND as I think.
