Nice price.
Nice price.
You’re missing the point. THEY don’t want to push EVs out, WE want to push EVs out. The incentive is from the government to get more EVs on the road, so they need to target vehicles that can be bought.
I wholeheartedly agree that they need to review the structure of the rebates and the impacts. Particularly the timing, which obviously wasn’t enough to manufacturers to pivot resources.
Soooo.... vehicle being used as a car, can’t hold more people than a car, and replacing a car is classified as a car. Seems fair to me.
Could Honda have done better? Absolutely.
I think the distinctions that needs to be made with any subscription are:
Labor, margins, poor(er) build quality probably. And I’m not sure about differences in content between a “base” model, but that seems like important info. But you’re right either way that 47 is a joke
The Odyssey has been arguably the best minivan out there for a while now, but the new Sienna just upped the game significantly so hopefully Honda is working on a serious redesign to aim for the top.
They might be priced at double, but I doubt that they will be sold at double. As always, it’s not what it’s worth unless someone is willing to pay it.
You would have a better idea than me, but I would guess that they would point to the data being normalized for demographic in a specific geography (which as a rate may not matter, but Beverly Hills vs South Central vs the farm belt up north are very different population makeups) and by alleged crime (again, this could…
Speculation, and I’m sure someone knows better, but I’m thinking that:
I’m not sure I’ve seen a breakdown in the differences in the test methods, but I think it would be very interesting and could help understand the real-world mileage better. My daily driving is pretty different than the typical American, but I’m not really sure how that works into the test protocols.
Driving a tiny Suzuki Jimny called “Little D” is like the complete antithesis of the bro-dozer and I’m here for it. Sign me up.
That’s a pretty cool van!
A buddy of mine just got a Bolt EUV at sticker and a quick search showed that there were a few more around. Not a LOT, mind you, but a few. Just like all cars that were released in 2022 in the midst of supply chain issues, you probably aren’t going to have much luck with a new EV, but they are starting to filter in…
A Chevette that
I’m pro rampant hooliganism. But the “unintended acceleration” crowd ruined that for everyone. Imagine someone on a school run smashing the pedal down in reverse whilst trying to hit the brake, and now their 8,000lb SUV is smashing through a kindergarten like an angry Hulk.
These were made for long enough that parts availability should be decent, so it may not be too big of a risk for a DIY wrencher. But definitely rolling the dice on a hydraulics issue.
Seems like a decent price for a decent runner, assuming the soft top passes a test. Those chrome rims are pretty ugly, but I think they stand out as extra bling-tastic because the paint isn’t very shiny (but plus a point for being a unique color and not beige). I could probably live with them until I find a set of…
