Robotaxis are coming ya’ll, whether we want them or not
Robotaxis are coming ya’ll, whether we want them or not
It was a matter of bad timing for a few of these. The Element, Crosstour, and FJ are good examples of hindsight being 20/20. They were due for updates and the SUV craze hadn’t taken over yet. I’d throw the Venza on to that list, the Xterra, and there’s probably some I’m missing. Budgets were tight post-recession and…
Cut the price in half and it would be closer to the right price.
It probably hasn’t spent much time on the highway since the nationwide 55mph cap was raised, so 175k may be all they could manage
Imagine how many ribs they could smoke with that much charcoal if they weren’t charging cars with it?
Seems to be an article that’s intended to shed light on a guy who a dealership is trying to screw over, and then at the last second calls him unlikeable? Maybe just a shittily written sentence, IDK. But I don’t see the golf course doing anything sketchy here either, unless the dealer truly shows evidence that they…
Well I don’t think you’re going much more than that, so yeah.
This is by far the nicest Chinook I’ve seen, so definitely preservation points. You can definitely find one cheaper, but I’m not sure you can find one this nice. I went NP, but I suppose the big question is whether it ticks the boxes for what you need out of a camper, versus a newer model that might have some more…
“Is your Chevy Volt too efficient, reliable, refined, quiet, or affordable? Have we got the car for you!”
How can someone clean up a 25 year old Saturn this nicely and not have loved and cared for the car? NP on a clean wagon that will never cost you more that $50 to fix.
I’d like to know why they are trying to play the “it’s a crossover” game with what is very clearly a sedan. Granted, Toyota still sells a shit load of sedans (probably in part because some others have stopped), but I don’t think the approach of splitting the difference between car and SUV is going to work so well.
Gone are the days of the M3 and M5 flying under the radar as executive sedans. And apparently the M2 has gone with them. But literally the only thing I looked at before scrolling down to the article was the front grill.
That’s true, and the part that’s over my head. You’d think that Nissan would say that, but I guess they need to cover their ass too.
Clearly this is above my head, and I don’t know exactly what it entails, but it seems like shuttering the plant would be a better strategic move both from the cost standpoint (how long does it take for expenses to add up to $687 million?) and actually accomplishing the intended goal. Or start pulling machinery out and…
You’re giving the car more credit than me. The shiny paint makes it looks great from the outside, but the chrome wheel arch covers often hide rust. The interior look mostly just dirty, but also not well cared for recently. The engine swap looks well done, but that air cleaner confirms the lack of recent care given to…
I think they are pretty difficult swaps. As I understand it, on the W126 cars it’s tough, and there is a lot of room under that hood. So it’s definitely impressive work.
The Euro bumper can be VERY expensive if you don’t catch a good deal on them. The chrome fender moldings are often hiding some rust behind them, so worth taking a closer look there.
That 200+mph speed is super impressive. The article linked doesn’t say the 0-60, does it?
I think it looks a lot better in the white/silver combo than on the blue/black, but I agree it’s still an odd look. It’s unique, but I’m not sure its in a good way.
On the road with recent service done - maybe a different story. But as it sits it’s a ND for me and I don’t need to worry about smog. What I do need to worry about is care and maintenance on a nearly 40 year old car that was handed down to a high schooler. As a former poor high school student turned poor college…
