Has anyone done a Hellephant swap yet?
Has anyone done a Hellephant swap yet?
You can’t just dump a shitty idea like that here.
This is an incredibly well thought out analysis. Really the only difference is that my dad doesn’t throw pillows at the TV when Alfa commercials come on.
I think you mean Das Kap von Brimmenflat
This is an underrated thread
You mean, “Cool story brah”
Counterpoint: Boring cars are boring, not luxurious. The Lincoln Town Car was never good—it was always too slow, too soft, and too thirsty, and even when it’s platform was new it was ancient.
I had a VW with no AC in Michigan 30 years ago and it was terrible. CP on this.
So just regular Diet Coke then?
Wow, that was insanely uncomfortable to watch. What was going through the heads of anyone involved in making that?
And to build on my comment a little bit—people definitely talked about Trent Reznor’s look in 1989/91, and it was absolutely understood to be a choice on his part that was in part a reaction to the prevailing pop/new wave sensibilities of the time, in the same way that people talked about Kurt Cobain and his look.
Yes, she definitely seems like Gen Z’s Trent Reznor, more than anything else, which is fine and not a bad thing to be.

Damn...no, my mental price list is still clearly about 20 years old.
Ha ha yes, a really nice brand-new Gladiator, a really nice trailer, and say a 23' Grady White would be a better setup than this in every respect, and would still be a hell of a lot cheaper.
Yes. This. The lack of noise is one of the nicest things about driving an EV. Put the windows down and go for a drive in the country and holy shit, you can actually hear things around you! It’s honestly incredible.
The current government in Iran is pretty hellish, but are we really in a place where we’re nostalgically naming cars after the Shah? What’s next, the Ducati SAVAK?
And I mean if the claim is that it’s a con job, well...he can always say he told you what he was doing. It’s right there in the name of the company.
Inline eights? That’s Packard, no? Hudsons had (big) inline sixes. If you’re going to build a hot rod Hudson and you *dont* build up a monster straight six for it...who even are you?
