I mean, that’s the thing though—the 300ZX and the Mitsubishi 3000GT/Dodge Stealth were ALSO seen as comically powerful at the time. 300 hp was a big deal. The Ferrari 348 made 300 hp. A 911 non-turbo made 250; the 3.3L turbo made 316 and the 3.6L 355.
