On Netflix, these episodes come after “The Enemy Below” (the story that introduces Aquaman). The “Injustice For All” story doesn’t come until later in the season.

Now playing

I remember when this news first broke, and Bill Maher (who was still on Politically Incorrect on ABC) said that Etheridge had already done a song about how Crosby had donated his sperm to her: Come Through My Window.

This is a superhero cartoon show for kids, sure.

Except in the battle scenes the evil Atlanteans are in submarine-like ships that have no water in them.  They react like something has gone wrong when Superman rips holes in the ship, allowing water to enter.  This is how normal humans would react - afraid that they would drown.  But Atlanteans can breathe in water -

Am I wrong or is Diana naked when she sneaks in and grabs the Wonder Woman outfit and all of the gear? She’s obviously not wearing the WW outfit yet, but we saw her earlier with her mother and she’s wearing normal Themyscira clothes then, but when we see her from behind when she’s grabbing all the WW stuff it appears

I was surprised that, even though the enemies are aliens, we see many of them get killed when fighting the heroes.  Maybe I’ve just seen too many older super-hero cartoons where nobody ever gets killed.

The story begins to drag in the second part, a problem that will be consistent for most of the series’ three-part episodes.”

I don’t personally know of anyone that is excited about Gladiator II.

The other quibble I had was that I felt that they did Gordon dirty. To allow him to be so easily manipulated by (as was pointed out) someone whose name is literally ‘Two-Face,’ and all because he’s tired of not getting the credit that he feels he’s due makes him a joke. And he had fairly significant character growth

What, no mention of how Dakota Johnson doesn’t know how to open a can of pop?

Instead, it feels like the filmmakers could not legally use the actual iconic words so they had to substitute something similar.”

Bring back the Leslie Knope Headlines commenter!

Don’t forget Leslie Knope Headlines and Rapping Jake Sisko.

I got a Nova Scotia notification for this?

I haven’t found their relationship to be all that convincing, so the fact that the story’s ending leans so heavily on it doesn’t really work for me.”

Viola had a set path - she came out of the lake, entered the house, went to that room, looked at the bed (for her daughter), and after awhile she returned to the lake. Anyone she encountered on that path (the vicar, the plague doctor, Peter) she killed and dragged back to the lake with her.

Did not realize at the end of last ep that Viola was dragging Dani into the house rather than the lake.”

Apparently the Dani/Jamie relationship was originally supposed to be a heterosexual relationship with Oliver Jackson-Cohen playing the gardener.  But they thought the audience wouldn’t accept the two actors who played siblings (and twins) in Hill House as a romantic couple.  So they recast the role and ended up

I’ll also say that Dani’s possession as a metaphor for anhedonic depression / pick-your-flavor of mental illness was not well handled at all, and hit a sour note.”
