Regarding Xander choosing to take Erika to the FTC, he clearly states that he doesn’t want to give her a flashy moment of making fire. Since they started this fire-making challenge, we’ve seen Ben, Wendell, Rick Devens, Chris Underwood, and Tony make fire and go on to win. And we saw in WaW that the jury (mostly Rob)

and the show’s bizarre choice to telegraph the on-island vote read and reunion for the audience at home meant we didn’t even get to share in their surprise.”

I enjoyed this story when it was first reported in 2003.

Two of the cadets seem to hate one another in particular, as their species are at war; one of them, a fella with tusks named Gorat, finally goes so far as to say he will never like the other guy because of all the horrors his people have suffered at the hands of the other guy’s people. Yes, thank you for agreeing with me! In the BttF example, Marty in the 1950s is an 18-year old hanging out with his parents who are also 18 years old. They are all the same age, despite Marty not being born yet.

LOL. You don’t understand that when someone travels in time, they remain the same age.

With that (flawed) logic, Miguel has not been born yet when Miles and Gwen are teenagers and get their powers. And when Miguel becomes Spider-Man in 2099, Miles and Gwen are long-dead.

So it goes.

Miguel is in his 30s. Miles and Gwen are teenagers.

Miguel O’Hara (aka Spider-Man 2099) is an adult.  Miles and Gwen are teenagers.

You had me at “lesbian nun drama”.

Yes! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought of that book while reading the comments discussing a potential Loki/Sylvie hook-up.  I bought that book in a used book store many years ago on a lark, not even recognizing Gerrold’s name, and it’s stuck with me ever since.

As someone who watched Millionaire faithfully back then, I can confirm that Carpenter’s $1m question was very easy, considering all of his previous questions.

“Booker is also there, because apparently being in a relationship means you also work together constantly.”

I think someone here last season suggested that Detmer refused to get her eye/headpiece repaired/replaced because she felt guilty about the Shenzhou’s destruction so she wanted to keep these wounds/scars as a constant reminder of her failure.

It’s hard for me to think of the TNG finale as a true series finale because they already knew TNG was going to continue in a (at least one) movie. They didn’t really have to wrap anything up because they knew the crew would be continuing, just in a new medium.

I loved how they were able to name these three “the Legion of Doom” on the show and make it work.

How was this not called “It’s Good To Be The King”?
