There is no plane in the world that will fly well with a poor weight distribution. Load up the tail of any plane with nothing but 300lbs passengers carrying 50lbs on a 100F day, and that plane isn’t going to be safe to take off.

This does need doing periodically. The standard weight used for passengers and carry-on was adjusted in the US some years back. After a crash that was shown to have resulted from a commuter turboprop being both overweight and out of balance because the average weight used at the time was much too low.

I see the problem

Either in on the scam, or just looking for a quick flip. It was a Raptor, so the Blue Book is around $100k. That’s a big profit for not a lot of work. But then, a price that low should have been a red flag.

In Musk's case, it's about as wide as a Thai cave

I think someone put it best that the Cybertruck is a loyalty test. Something to determine how MUCH you like the Kool-aid. It’s bad at being a truck, reports that it’s dangerous to drive, i.e. suspension, brakes, etc. were nearly impossible to manage because they started with something that wasn’t meant to be a truck.

My god.

Absolutely the wrong take-away. Nobody is suggesting the 90s wrecks that Allison, Earnhardt, and others (Ernie Irvan, for example) survived weren’t lucky breaks — that’s why the safety has become such an important aspect of the engineering of these cars AND TRACKS ... but I suspect Elizabeth knows this.

This stinks of

Didn’t Mazda bring the MX-30 to California just for some emissions requirement?

O-M-G. *shakes head multiple times*...Enough with the damn black wheels. Enough. I appreciate people having a vision and that they have worked and earned the money to make that vision become a reality. I get it. If this is what you had in mind, good for you.

Those wheels are an abomination - how dare they pimp-out Grandad’s Crown Vic! That said, I voted ND, since I have a soft spot for well-maintained cruisers like this.

The weed smell will never come out of this car. ND.

I watched the video. He goes past a “flooded” sign and continues for five full seconds, straight into standing water. Without braking. Not a “Flood Area” type sign. Past tense. Flood’s already happened. Then he hydroplanes, and slides across the center line and into the bog on the other side of the road.

My only takeaway from this story is that Ryan is a complete moron.

Fixed the headline for you

It looks like that fender got dinged up and repaired with a framing hammer.

I always thought these were lookers, but I ordered a ‘89 Thunderbird new with this engine. Here’s the tea:

I remember taking in this era of Cougars and T-Birds as trade-ins...in 2006...for a few hundred bucks. Maybe a grand in mint condition. I get that $5K is the new $1,000 car, but ND.

It could’ve had a V-8.  ND.

A clear brief (e.g. one you’ve thought about and sweated the details on for a while rather than the half-baked idea with various, contradictory requirements) goes a long way in saving you time and money down the road.
