I just saw a Carvana commercial, one with the big-ass coin used to get your car from the giant vending machine.

This is hilarious. How can you call yourself a gearhead, let alone an automotive journalist? My immediate reaction is that you should be fired. Obviously, that’s ridiculous, but I really question anybody calling you an authoritative journalistic source after this. I get the sense that I know a lot more about, well,

tbf, $200 was probably the “we do not want to buy this” price.

Somebody had to say it, thanks.

(It’s not fine)

How do you review a car and not know it’s a diesel?

Trust me on this one. Avoid like the plague. This is from works 97 plow jeep. Also in upstate NY, used mainly to plow a small driveway. And it has roughly 86K on it. I’ve already replaced most of the control arms, repaired the center section of the frame, fiberglassed the floors on both sides, replaced the front

I wouldn’t drop that kind of coin on a quarter-century-old Wrangler from upstate New York even if it hadn’t been used as a plow truck.

Nope. Old plow vehicles are almost never worth buying unless it comes with a stack of receipts related to replacing the entire front-end suspension every other year and the clutch and transmission at least a few times. Plowing is pretty brutal on a vehicle, and frankly I’m suspicious of how good a Jeep like this could

This has 171K miles and “Previous owner told me engine had been replaced and present engine has 81,000 miles”... hell to the no!

Do they salt the roads where this Jeep is sold? That is the first and probably most important question.

“not a good look for the sport”

I like it. Dead simple. Good updates. Just not 18k worth of like.

That far north and no rust?  I question that.  But still NP.

The main issue here is that plug-in hybrid + long trips does not make sense. If this is going to be a station-wagon daily driver, then get the PHEV. If this is mainly for long trips, the PHEV part is really not that beneficial, and might actually be a penalty because you’re hauling around a bigger battery that is not

Um... Not anything weird, but just a weird place to see something.

Check out your local U-Haul... some are appearing there in fleet trim, and you can rent it for a test-drive

A DeLorean in the show room(this was maybe around 2007 or so). It wasn’t for sale, wasn’t visible from outside the building and it wasn’t even in that good of shape. They said they had it there to bring people in the doors. Not sure how that works exactly when your windows are so tinted you can barely see through the

This is why not everyone should be allowed to vote.
