This makes so little sense to me. Hollywood Reporter claims that it was due to David Zaslav wanting to focus on theatrical releases, but the movie completed production. It was going straight to HBO Max. And the sources claiming that it tested so poorly they were afraid it would hurt their brand carry more than a whiff

You’re absolutely right we used to do transcripts, to give a peek behind the curtain, presently it’s formatted that video posts (not just Kotaku all our sites) don’t allow for text. The reasoning as it’s been told me is that this allows for the videos to slot into our playlists smoother. I will inquire if there’s

Seconded. I work on disability rights professionally, and this kind of lack of accessibility is the bane of my existence. I can hear, and I still want captions for videos like this - it just makes them easier to watch.

Dear Kotaku, if you are not going to include accessibility options in your videos (i.e. subtitles) can you, at the very least, provide a transcript? I’d ask this any time of the year but it feels especially egregious that this didn’t occur to anyone this week.

No, it didn’t.

I'm pretty sure Future Pike told him the Klingons showed him everything that happens anytime he fights back. And the result was always the same. Spock is the one who takes his place and its vital he doesn't, end of the universe stuff.

The main thrust I gathered is that even if Pike plans it perfect, time fights back (either by fate or with a bat’leth) and Spock dying or something worse happens.

Looooot of hot negative takes in the comments here.

Did the US fix its healthcare anytime recently? Or its still full “pay or die”?
And that’s assuming there’s empty Covid beds, which there aren’t necessarily.

I mean, the “solution” is to not have the lowest vaccination of any developed nation besides Russia and maintaining protocols until cases are next to non-existent instead of the rollercoaster of giving up the fight right as we’re turning the corner like firefighters that start packing up when they’ve got the open

Not just queer (though very, very queer) but also allows fat characters to be fat without that *being* their character or the butt of jokes. Same with speech impediments and other often mocked traits and behaviors.

i don’t think that a three week, considered investigation with 8 expert citations is knee jerk but ymmv

also i interviewed the guy who wrote the wendy’s rpg and he’s super nice! he just wanted to do something fun on the company dime and it turned out really well for him. i think the issue with the wendy’s rpg was that they got CR to play it.

What’s the argument from the other side for this? Because the actual D&D gamers in the comments don’t seem to think there is one.

I don’t really think they’re related at all. Professional DMs are a solution to the problem of players being adults with limited time. I was perfectly happy to DM for my friends when I was a teenager and had basically unlimited free time to devote to planning and running a game, but as a working adult I just don’t

I think that Pro-GM are actually offering a service that deserves to be paid for, and the transaction begins and ends at the table. Gripnr is offering a very different product.

Every time I see one of these it’s the exact same god damn thing:
“people really like “blank” so what if we made it more expensive and stressful?”

I wouldn’t worry too much. I’m sure this is just another rugpull like literally every other NFT scam.

I mean, it’s possible he’s not really talking to his mom.

most communists would support paying more for goods that last a long time and are produced by people who are paid fairly. cheap, fast fashion is cheap and fast because the people who make it are underpaid and the materials used are produced with little care for the environment.
