Gosh, I wish they would. There are SO many old films that current black folk should be remaking - I mean going all the way back to the 30's and coming forward. Many dealt with deep themes and didn’t rely on the whites at all - at least until later. But those are ok too those whites were often buffoons and/or evil cops…
