I had a friend who had a daughter that still believed in Santa at age 14. She knocked herself out every year to continue the lie. I was extremely weirded put by the whole thing. As an aside, she was also one of those 40 year olds who said her best friend was her pre-teen daughter. Never trust that type.

I do agree that forcing others to participate is just a douche move:-)

I always ended up having about 5 or 6 weeks of vacation when I worked, so it was never a big deal to take the time off :) And I am one of those weird types that don’t really enjoy vacations longer than about 4 days so I could never use up all my days. The only time I was away longer than 5 days was 3.5 weeks in

Wow! That surprises me! What state were you in?? The Almighty Penn State University sent me a letter that said that even though I demonstrated severe financial need they were unable to offer me an academic scholarship. Yeah, fuck you very much. I will note here that I detested PSU long before this happened (I grew up

Oh I don’t know. I agree that there are businesses/places out there and their time just passes and it is time for them to go. It can be sad but it is understandable. My college was facing declining admissions and made the decision to go co-ed. I don’t know if it was the right decision or not. I do know that when they

I’m not surprised that there was no money coming in since learning that they didn’t do a capital campaign for a decade!! There was some kind of advance level chicanery going on at SBC. That or it was being run by complete idiots :)

That is sheer lunacy! Even if those two reasons are true, you never, ever DON’T have a capital campaign. I’m really glad that the SBC president and board are out. If you can just ditch your Director of Development (Hell, the whole development department!) the college should be sitting much prettier :D

I’m a former fundraiser and reading “no capital campaign for 10 years” made me go “WHAAAAAAAAA?” How was a lack of capital campaigns for a decade explained????

I actually agree with a majority of your posts, but need to disagree on the point about tuition. I am a graduate of a private liberal arts womens college. When I attended 20 years ago the cost was $29-$32K per year which was a lot then. At no point during my 4 years there did my bill ever exceed $7,000 a year. I got

What the hell kind of question is this? The answer is always Tim Riggins.

Goddamn. I have read all of the Heaven and Dollanganger series and My Sweet Audrina multiple times, but it takes a list like this to remind me of how totally batshit these books are. I am going to need to reread ALL of them this summer. Is there better summer reading than VC Andrews, Valley of the Dolls and Judith

Couldn’t it be that now that the poors have designer logo bags, either by saving or by buying knock offs, that the rich no longer see theirs as special and unattainable?

I would go so far as to say that if the person who said they would vote for Trump is a friend, there is no reason to keep them as a friend. You don’t need someone like that in your life.

I was glad to see the drab color choices were mentioned as a problem at Gap. Navy blue, black, gray and oatmeal are as boring as shit. When they put tees and skirts out in cute, bright colors I am all over that shit.

I would presume that they are just big enough to fill my mouth.

Fuck me sideways. That dress is glorious.

Oh no. Always have been, always will be Team Logan. Though I thought that season 6 Rory was worthy of NO ONE. Spoiled little asshole ... I still have anger issues.

Lol what the hell??? Multiple parties?? That’s nuts. I see what you mean. I definitely don’t expect anyone else to join me birthday week :)

Oh no. For the past 6 years I have been celebrating a birthday week. I don’t expect people to make a big deal out of it or anything but i take off work and spend a week on fun stuff. A shopping day trip. A pedicure. Catch a matinee. Spend a day watching all three extended versions of Lord of the Rings. Dinner with my
