 That’s called a full Kobe.

@BestyDeVos. My gift to you.

Yes, sweetheart.

If only the action of one judge (plus a prosecutor willing to prosecute) was indicative of our entire justice system. Unfortunately, the police department’s actions tend to be the common outcome for these types of events.

No one likes to look ugly, and I believe even the most blinded-by-hatred people sometimes catch a glimpse of who they are, maybe from the disgust in the eyes of good people, and recoil from it. And then after that moment of clarity they usually double down, but...

How about that non-apology? I’m sorry that happened to you? GFY with that. You could have done something. You could have stood up against the people bullying others at a child’s birthday but you didn’t.

“I’m so sorry that happened to you” as if it were a fucking act of god. I’m so glad these people are going to jail.

From another article on CNN:

Also, maybe I’m reading the article incorrectly, but didn’t she actually do the stuff she is saying she would never do?

“I would never ...” = “I didn’t realize there would be consequences for my actions.” Which is why we are seeing an uptick in racist and anti-Semitic acts; people are getting the message that they can get away with it.

The way I read her statement, it sounds like she thinks HBCUs were examples of African-Americans bootstrapping themselves to prosperity in those “good ‘ol days” these Trumptards keep going on about.

Looking forward to seeing more choices for people. Perhaps in the areas of water fountains, bathrooms, where to sit on the bus, hotel lodging...

no, I think it’s much closer to the truth to say that she believes public schools are instruments of the secular administrative state, cultural Marxism, or some shit like that. Anyway, she clearly believes public education is an institution that needs to be fought.

Nope. Her goal is to funnel public money into private religious schools, so that the children can learn that Jesus rode on a dinosaur.

There are a number of them who use the talking point that not only did slavery give black Americans full employment, they got “free” room and board, too, and really owe a thank you. And, of course, black people also need to thank white people for freeing them from slavery.

Not to mention the low, low crime rate. The crime rate is so low, people were coming to me saying, “Donald? Where is all the crime? We’re sick of all this law and order.”

Didn’t some GOP nutbag say something like this last year? It was along the lines of how slavery kept people working and held their families together.

I was having this conversation with a few friends this morning. It’s almost impossible to pick just one, but I do think this is the most offensive thing anyone in his cabinet has said so far.

“When this great nation was established, the African-American community experienced unemployment close to 0% in certain portions of the country.”

DeVos went on to express nostalgia for “nearly full employment of the antebellum plantation system.”
