Income taxes already apply to both citizens and aliens, including nonresident aliens. The only sticking point is undocumented aliens, who often pay income taxes anyways. And if immigration restrictions were lifted or relaxed, there'd be little point to avoiding the legal immigration procedure.

I've never heard of such a thing. What is this nonsense?

So, does Robin get his hand bitten off in this one?

Both consumption taxes and income taxes are tied to borders, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

It all comes down to how short or far-sighted McConnell is on the issue. I tend to think that the Republicans will want to preserve the filibuster for when the Democrats have the majority.

His ambivalence about the Chevron rule is troubling. Not to mention that he seems to think that if a law that applies to everyone equally happens to contradict one's religious belief, that person does not have to follow that law.
