Yup. That’s why I had a pretty great high after attending our tiny hastily thrown together march. In an area that went hard for Trump in a swing state it was downright heartwarming seeing hundreds of like-minded individuals. I made a ton of acquaintances with progressives in an area I ALWAYS felt alone in.

I work for an advocacy organization. We all went to the march, with our friends and our families.

It’s like being furious about amputations. It’s an unfortunate medical procedure that is sometimes necessary, but no one gets riled up about Hippocratic oathes to “do no harm” when a surgeon is holding a scalpel (or even a bone saw).

I’ve been screaming this at the clouds for a long time now. Typical GOP line is that we need to dismantle government agencies to save jobs, not mentioning how many government employees will lose their jobs. A few weeks ago there was an interview on NPR with someone from a coal mining company who said that regulations…

If those Bundy fundies thought that the fed’s grazing fees were high, just wait until they get the invoice from Exxon-Mobil.

The other thing is to make a list of things you find strange and norms that are broken every week. The idea is that under an autocrat (similar to an abusive person), you lose your sense of what is normal. Up is down and left is right.

I totally agree. I got down in the dirt with someone online (of course) who was getting riled up with her belief that “abortion is murdering babies, they’re going to hell!!”. I said, “Why do you care? She’s going to hell; you’re not. Stay in your lane and mind your own fucking business.”

I don’t want to understand where they’re coming from. This is why these people keepgetting into power. We give them the benefit of the doubt and they don’t deserve it. Liberals/feminists need to stop trying to understand these assholes. They don’t try and understand our point of view
