Yep! They're a little crazy, even the small one I went to, but well worth it! We got discounts on the dress, cake, tuxes, trolley, and I won a gift card for my mom's dress. My folks won their DJ at theirs. Definitely stay until the end for the raffles because a lot of times you have to be there to win, and a LOT of

Thank you!! It was my dream dress- waaaay out of my price range- and I lucked into finding a floor model in my size AND the right trim color at a bridal show. Between that, the discounts we scored, and the free food I ALWAYS tell my budget-bride friends to hit at least one show!

Outside our reception venue there was also an old-timey car that my dad wanted to steal. Doesn't really run, but it was fun to take pics with.

I didn't get a say in this, but my parents got us Molly the Trolley to shuttle our guests from the reception venue (where there was parking) to our ceremony venue (where parking would have been a bear) and back again. We got lots of comments and congratulations from random people! For anyone in New Hampshire it's from

I can't recommend summer in New England enough. Especially New Hampshire. Hiking, mountains, lakes, close enough to the ocean that you can go if you want. The only downsides are bugs and humidity, but I really miss summer up there.

I think he may have gone up to PSU also? Idk, all I know is that one of my friends posted that candidates were starting to come to campus and would NOT reveal which one was coming yesterday/today. Which, if I were him, I wouldn't either.

The Archuleta piece links to KStew story! He seemed like such a good kid :/

This is definitely not a winner, but whatever.

I was able to get my dream dress for my wedding, something that I didn't think was going to be possible (deeply discounted floor model at a bridal show. It even had the right color trim. That is what makes me believe in a good and loving God). I was ridiculously protective of it- checked on it every time I went to my

Clipped his claw too close to the quick. We can only clip when kitty's tired (and even then it takes a lot of bribery) but my husband tried to do it sneakily and without help. I was not thrilled and neither was kitty. Fortunately he healed up fine!

I thank my period for my ability to get blood out of ANY fabric. Leak on the microfiber couch? Kid gets a nosebleed on her white pillowcase? Husband accidentally makes the cat bleed on our comforter and walks away(!!!)? It's all good, I got this. Even on white fabric, I have never left a stain if I catch it while it's

Oh, an excuse to post photos of my alcoholic cat? Don't mind if I do.

I haven't been to a doctor in almost two years because of shit like this. When I was 20 I had to go in for a semi-emergency visit for a migraine that was making me throw up and the (male, duh) doc made unnecessary comments about weight gain (I went on the Pill and went to college, duh) and just prescribed some nasty

I'm pretty sure my best friend was in a wedding there in 2013! We were supposed to go to a concert that day but once I saw the view I totally understood while he bailed on the show. So beautiful!!

I would watch that commercial 1000x a day.

Ah gotcha. Carry on, fellow New Yorker (but not from the city)!

Upstate NY. I live in Dutchess County (an hour-ish north of the city) and it's far more conservative than one might think. My landlord is a vocal NRA member and a lot of the people are very anti-choice, anti-marriage equality, anti-Common Core types. Even the Top-40 radio station I listen to (usually seems like it

Ugh. All I can think of is the fact that the four year old I nanny screamed for an hour because I made him drink water instead of apple juice then told me he hated me because I wouldn't let him throw my keys at me. I love him, but he's 3/4 of the reason I drink.

My response.

I don't watch E or give two shits about celeb fashion and I would watch that ALL THE TIME. Somebody make this happen!!
