I'm with you, although I don't dislike this styling as much as some of the people commenting.

Yeah Acura even quit making the TL with AWD, which was their only real car-guy product.

Lol, no. I've never had a product from either company. Over the years I have had a couple GTi's, a chipped Passat, a 2004 GTO, a G8, and a couple R-Design Volvos. The Volvo saved me in a gruesome wreck so that's my brand as long as I can afford them.

Except that it isn't. There is a frame under it, of course. I'm sure it's magnesium or something fancy like that - as is the cabrio. But the roof material is fabric. It has to be so that it can fold up and fit in the space that opens up when the rear window/fenders are raised up. I tried to link a picture but just

I kinda like both - but if the Maxima doesn't sell I think it will be because people buy the Murano instead because the gain in sport isn't worth the loss in usefulness. I would imagine they are close in price and passenger room.

The best word I've ever read for describing car styling these days is baroque. I think a lot of it is a reaction to the need to hide mass in the front ends of pedestrian-friendly cars.

There is some definite truth to that statement. However, suspension tuning is much better than it once was. Chassis rigidity is also vastly better so suspensions are mounted to much more stable platforms. Tires and traction control also help to keep things from becoming unbearable. So is a FWD car with a ton of power

I meant the fabric part of the top! :-P. Just being silly is all.

Step one: set your budget. Step two: toll the daylights out of autotrader and find leftover models from previous year. Step three: keep calling the angry manager and offering a price that takes all the dealer profit and Porsche incentives but gets rid of the car. Step 4: Drive it like ya stole it, 'cause ya kinda did.

Yes, it's called a Cayman.

Given the materials I think loincloth is more appropriate :-)

I agree that buyers of the current gen. Optima have been able to buy a car that had mid-pack dynamics but was outrageously good looking for the price. Kia has corrected this injustice.

As a car guy and an American, yes I care. I would like to see our native car industry (I understand that Americans make cars for foreign companies and I'm glad they have work too...) be successful. If you were to compare this car to previous models I suspect it will be a lot more class competitive. To my eyes it looks

I think that's supposed to be a hint that this is a photoshop because this is an April Fool's joke. I think the front is a 911... all the way to the turn signals built into the wheel wells. If you examine the front, there is no way that it would look like this from a corner. Just my guess.

Finally, the Camaro loses the title for the most uselessly small rear 3 quarter glass of any series production car! I do kinda like this though. I'm sure it's still boring to actually drive though.

We have a winner. Yikes.

That became the Probe, if I'm not mistaken. Reminds me more of the 2nd generation though.

Yeah, chipmunk cheeks!

Really?????? The only odd thing about the concept is maybe the headlights placed so low. The odd thing about the production model is that the entire car didn't come with a brown bag to cover it with. :-)

Mickey Mouse ears!
