Yep. Though I hate that grill with the chrome. But definitely better than the concept.

So that's where McLaren got the headlights for the new model from!

Yeah this looks like an old person's car. Good example.

The only real flaw on the outside was the area around the (non-matching black) mirrors. Otherwise, I thought it looked great. The interior though, eeeeeeeek!

Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree too. That prototype is still pretty cool looking. The Camaro had such a terrible update with that front end and probably the largest overhangs ever fitted to a production coupe.

Well now we know what Morgan were benchmarking for the Plus 8

Wow that looks like the annoying orange!

It's like a Wolverine concept car for all the wrong reasons.

Well played, Clarkson. Glad you're using your free time well :-P

Oh man the concept was so much better than the actual car. The concept was like a modern super bee - the actual car had a weird greenhouse and truck-face. (just my humble opinion.)

That reminds me so much of the 80s Fairmont futura that I wonder if that isn't how the styling got applied.

I like it better than everything except the Mazda 6, but that car is still waiting for an engine that people who like cars would want. The ford isn't bad till you get inside.

I think it needs a "Lamprey conversion kit" with plastic teeth encircling the grill. My mother has a Mazda 2, and to be honest, this car fixes almost all of my complaints about her car (only 4 gears and an overly Spartan interior.)

The design is fine - it doesn't jump out at me like the A6 does, but it's fine. I think it's a pity that they don't do the electronic dash from the new TT across their entire model line. Being able to check the Navi right in front of me would be very appealing.

I wasn't trying to overly nitpick, just given the limitations of size, safety, equipment and the materials that a mainstream manufacture can put into their cars - I'd say the weight is at least not a reason to say that GM have done a lazy job of engineering. I'd love it to weigh 3000 too!

3200 lbs is a base gti though. :-/

True but unlike the Mustang, at least we know the Camaro is switching to a smaller, lighter platform. 3500-3700 lbs sounds reasonable when adding that much engine to an ATS.

But has smaller engine, tires, drive line, weaker suspension, weaker structure, and far less sophisticated electronics. All that has a price.

Don't miss mullets and fluff chicks? :-)

I loved the styling but that was one of the not structurally weak vehicles ever. Getting lighter would probably mean $$$$
