That sounds like so much fun and we must be around the same age. I LOVED the Thompson Twins to distraction back then. I also went to both of those Bowie tours - Glass Spider was great but maybe it was early in the tour so he was still energized or something. I’m sorry your kids like crappy pop. I’m kind of bummed…

If you haven’t heard Jeff Buckley’s dad sing, I highly recommend him (Tim Buckley). He’s not for everyone (was a bit avant garde) but his voice was incredible.

This is very sad! He put on such a great show. But I think I might be wrong about my first concert - the more I think about it, I’m pretty sure it was Peter Gabriel. Bowie was a few weeks later.

That is pretty creepy! I went on two dates with a dude whose band had just hit the Billboard charts. But it was the Billboard chart for New Age music. I still haven’t forgiven myself (mainly because he told me that he liked to watch anal porn with his dad - it was only our second date and it was just too much).

Ha! I have not thought about Toad the Wet Sprocket in years! I liked them (but I just couldn’t get into the Cranberries for some reason).  

I saw them in VA because my friend made me go and I ended up having a fantastic time! That is a good first concert.

She teases me way more than I tease her. You should hear her when I try to dance. We have an excellent relationship and I wasn’t very serious about my comment - I used to sing a cappella. But thanks for your concerntrolling!

That must have been so amazing.

But Metallica is nothing to be embarrassed about! That’s a pretty bad-ass first concert.  

tween girls. My niece and her buddies love them.

I didn’t realize how huge this group is with the tween set. I’m embarrassed for my 11-year old niece because now she will forever get to say that Pentatonix was her first concert. I’m so glad I get to say that David Bowie was the first concert I went to.

Ugh, why don’t you guys ever caption your photos? It’s not like it’s a photo of Kors or Choo - it’s two women. I have no idea who they are but I guess I won’t find out the normal way (by looking at the caption).

Huh, I had a lot of different views on this one than the author. I thought Arya’s acting with Hot Pie was actually pretty bad - she’s not great at playing the dead-eyed PTSD character but at least she perked up when she heard about Winterfell. And I HATE the pointless Grey Worm romance subplot. What a useless fucking…
