Nah you’re just an idiot. Sorry, but I’m blunt. America has always been a fascist institution at its rotten core, but as the people have fought against that tendency the fascism has come to the forefront. That’s late stage capitalism and capitalism is the driver of that systemic shift.

Are you asleep at the wheel?

That’s not what I said. I said I don’t give a fuck and a lot of other people don’t give a fuck. I’m not saying you can’t care, but you can’t be mad that other people are more concerned on other things. I not once indicated you can’t or should not care about this.

Personally everyone I know who plays the game is having a lot of fun with this event. It’s not a replacement for the PvE but that’s still coming later this year and from what I hear is playtesting very positively internally.

It’s late stage capitalism for sure. But honestly, with our political climate as it is, the last thing I care about is shit like this. Sony is throwing a hissy fit over a more extreme behavior of the trend they have consistently bought into for over a decade now.

You are missing the entire point and way oversimplifying the situation.

Agreed on all points.

I’m sorry, but you’re delusional and your take is egocentric.

Honestly not interested in “another weirdo who idolizes Joel”’s take. Joel isn’t a full on monster, but he’s certainly not some innocent hero that you should admire or even look up to.

Thank you for this comment. It’s the one I was looking for the most.

Oh buzz off. Consumer entitlement knows no limits. They are still human beings and when you expect the impossible you’ll never be satisfied.

What a hot take for something that barely deviates from their point. That’s essentially what they are saying while giving additional specific color. They lay out why the Barbarian is unbalanced early game, specifically highlighting what you are saying.

I don’t think a character can commit as much violence as Ellie and Joel does across the two games and simultaneously be as innocent as you suggest. I don’t buy that.

I think their point is more so that Ellie is even more of a victim, not the Fireflies are the heroes here.

Yeah for real. This is such an odd take. I watch this show with a huge watch group of people who did NOT play the game. They all were repulsed by Joel and extremely critical of his actions, and I believe a large part of that is due to how the show presents the situation and not being literally in Joel’s shoes.

Humans are creatures of novelty. We quickly adapt to new inputs and look for something new to scratch that dopamine itch.

I mean fuck JKR but this is absolutely not what she said? Like we can have a discussion about the flaws in her point of view without entirely misrepresenting that point of view to make edgy statements.

Mods can suck but they are a necessary evil. There’s no great alternative that also keeps communities manageable and functional. Otherwise they just revert to the mean and end up with horrible discourse full of harassment.

That just makes her even more delusional.

Or they won’t? They may also think it’s weird that you expect a pat on the back for this. Trans people aren’t a monolith and there is actually a large population of trans people who don’t care about this or are even buying and playing the game.
