Well sure, because everything he needs to accomplish is south of the wall. But before getting there, he still ended up exactly where he needed to be in order to get a dragon. He even brought giant chains with him to pull it out of the water. It seems an awful lot like he knew how to get what he needed before

I can’t find the link now, but in an interview GRRM said he most wanted to be Tyrion but was most like Sam.  I think Tyrion is his aspirational surrogate in the story... the witty things he wishes he could say in the right moment and whatnot.

Gendry sure gave Arya the “Pointy End” last night amirite?

Hey guys, do you think the crypt is safe? Everyone keeps saying over and over it’s the safest place to be. Should we worry the crypt is well you know filled with the dead? Nah... it’s safe. They told me it’s safe. I’m sure everyone in the crypt will be fine.

I thought that soup scene had one purpose: to let the viewer know that all the non-fighters are going into the crypt ... when there is a guy marching on Winterfell who can raise the dead as his own personal army.

If I were an actor, this would be the job I would seek.  He looks comfy and his chair was heaped with furs/blankets.

I think “Bronn the Assassin” is just a plot device to “convincingly” get Bronn up North with the rest of the gang. The writers/showrunners likely wanted to have a fan favorite like Bronn involved in the “epic-ness” of the final season...but if he’s safe and secure with his ladies...well, that’s not great for story

On the other big revelation this episode I’m not sure it was a good idea. However Jon reacted more maturely than I expected (although it will probably only really hit later).

My theory is that Luke met some chick a Toshi Station way back before A New Hope, and because it’s the middle of nowhere, they banged in his landspeeder one night and she got preggo.

We are all here for MoHawkeye

I feel like the phrase “plot hole” get overused. I realize this is a bit like screaming about Alanis Morisette’s definition of irony, but “plot hole” doesn’t mean “literally any question I have that isn’t perfectly answered to my satisfaction.” It means a logical contradiction or gap in the story. So, if Superman dies

No. They have a person who has read ancient scripts that speak of Valeryn weapons (you saw Sam reading about the dagger that Arya has). They have someone who has been trained to work with it (Gendry apprenticed under the guy Tywin had rework Ice into Oathkeeper and Widow’s Wail). And finally they have what I suspect

This is the nerdiest thing I’ve ever read in a single comment.  God bless you.

I don’t even really think about Gendry all that much or have any affection towards him but that shot was fucking hype

Ohthankgodfinally!! It’s been so long. This shit is the straight up freebase cocaine of prestige television. I want to just plug it directly into my central nervous system.

Thanks for the update. The uncertainty was killing us.

I watched the walking dead, years ago. Perhaps the first and some of the second season.
