That’s actually pretty funny. Give those proselytizers a taste of their own medicine.

Insert confused Nathan Fillion GIF here.

She’s such a wild card that I couldn’t even guess what would go down. It would be entertaining, though.

If we were Mexican, I could at least point to this as a sort of cover. But no, she’s German all the way back. I’m not aware of any German traditions about forced baptism, so I have no clue where that came from.

It’s not a part of any church she’s been a member of. She has this tendancy to pull ideas out of nowhere and operate as though they’re true. I think in her mind, she gave herself the authority to do it.

Yeah, the whole saying grace over dinner thing would at least make for a funny story. Casting weird Christian spells at babies is insane and unacceptable. Of course she’s one of those ultra-conservative nutjobs who complains about being “attacked” when I tell her she can’t force her religion on people.

There’s no “might” about it. She’s always been a bit odd, but now that she’s in her 70s she’s pretty much lost it.

As far as any of us know, she has stopped. It was only ever dabbing their forehead with water and saying a prayer, so at least she wasn’t dunking kids like some baptisms entail. It is of course still a terrible thing to do. She argued with us for quite a while about how she believed god wanted her to do it.

That’s a good counterpoint. Perhaps we institute term limits once she steps down?

I was absolutely livid when I first found out. She’s one of those people that genuinely doesn’t understand how complely horrific her actions sometimes are.

I still think that’s wrong, but at least it’s family. That makes it kind of better, I guess?

Were they coneheads? This sounds like the behavior of aliens trying to impersonate humans.

since he has taught chefs in other restaurants how to make cocktail sauce and they were very grateful!

True, that makes some sense. Still, it seems to be much ado about nothing. They will have to face facts at one point or another.

The word “literally” has had the accepted alternate meaning of “figuratively” for almost a century. Language changes over time. You need to let this go.

Interesting. Do you think that helps religious freedom and tolerance?

I was thinking hiscriminate.

The other rich dudes just aren’t classy and luxurious enough to cut off circulation.

Answer: a better one than you were in yesterday.
