Okay, wine snobs for sure. But when it comes to beer snobs (which I guess I could be called), I still think we’re better than whiskey dicks.

I do that to my wife as well, but with sours. She’s actually started coming around on the various “gose” beers that people are making that are more just slightly tart wheat beers that somehow have the audacity to call themselves a gose without any salt flavor, but I digress.

I will say I think I prefer an NE IPA to the others, but can’t stand sifting through a wall of cartoon drawn beer cans just to find the single lager.

This is a solid and rational take. Breweries have gone through the trouble of making 20,000 different IPA’s and many (some?) of them are different. Learning the differences makes it possible for me to avoid the Pallet Wrecker DIPA and instead enjoy a nice hazy IPA .

The people that shame others for what they enjoy should be shot in the face, they are the worst. But it goes both ways, if I make a suggestion, it doesn’t make me a snob, it is wanting to share an experience or something dumb like that. Everyone should be able to enjoy whatever they want without being pointed at.
