Except whatever luxury tax hit the Cubs would take on Harper, they would more than make up for in jersey sales and revenue from the network they’re launching, AND their front office needs a win after the disastrous FA class of 2017.

You’re a fucking dumb ass.

Have you tried the keyboard line yet? Eviscerating!

Who cares about luxury taxes when you have mountains of dirty TD Ameritrade money to play with? I wouldn’t count any team out.

Commenting is hard. You gotta work like a mother to find new ways of making the exact same joke, over and over, like I do. Wanton repetition is just fuckin’ classless, man.

That keyboard line didn’t land the first time; I don’t know why you expected it to land the second.

All you had to do was repeat and emphasize the part where you said, “Several analysts have put the White Sox in the running...This, of course, is negated by the fact that either player would have to choose to sign with the White Sox.”

Right there in the OP of this thread: “This, of course, is negated by the fact that either player would have to choose to sign with the White Sox....the only ones who ever seriously thought a massive star would want to be on the White Sox were us five fans.”

My son is 4 and crushes it at tic-tac-toe, his secret is that he tells you where to play so he always wins.

Checkers? Slow down! I’m still here trying to master Tic-Tac-Toe.

Along with Melky Cabrera, that was a big offseason for us.

I’ve always had the impression that the REAL residents of Chicago are Sox fans, and the fake suburb moms are all the Cubs fans. I have no data to back this up, but Harper seems like he’d rater be the king of the suburb MILFs.

Hey fellow White Sox fan.  I don’t believe it for a second.  Complete Boras plant to make it look like there are more teams interested.  Machado maybe, but I still hope they don’t.  They blew up the team to get younger and they need to see what they have before they start throwing $$$ at free agents.  The story in

When did the other three fans come on board?

Well that was intense.  Almost makes me want to watch hockey.

Now playing

Dale Weise was a system-fit player, who struggled under John Tortorella in Vancouver, the coach wanting him to be more of a classic fourth-liner who scrapped more. He scratched him, benched him so he was playing 5 minutes a night. Traded to Montréal for Raphaël Diaz, he blossomed under Michel Therrien’s skating ‘get

Let’s remember some guys: Michal Rozsival.

Danault trade should have put the nail in his coffin...

I’m not really a hockey fan (I’m trying to get interested in it again). Listening to Mike and Mike on the radio, they pointed out that this guy had three Stanley Cups...and the rest of Chicago’s coaches had three COLLECTIVELY. Shame. I was like, “wow, really?”.

It’s amazing how this team practically won 3 times in spite of the shit job done by management. People seem to forget that the whole core (minus Hossa) was in place when Bowman & Q came to town.
