One of my problems with both chemical and physical castration is that our justice system is far from perfect, and innocent people will wind up being permanently physically altered. To me, that is not an acceptable cost.

I’ve been playing an old video game lately that I would consider a great way for kids to learn about consent without explicitly talking about sex: Journey. You play as a little, cat-like person on a quest to reach a mountain. Along the way, you may meet other people on the same quest (never more than one at a time).…
Like I said, separate houses is not what I would want, but life is not one-size-fits-all. If it’s what a couple wants and they’ve got the money, I say go for it.
“I’m also worried that the axe cuts both ways and after we get ‘strong’ speech protections in place the very people I despise will turn it around on me.”
“Yes there will always be the people who play games, take drugs and don’t build stuff.”
I would like to work with a robot Aggretsuko.
I think they were trying to shame girls for what they were wearing to prom.
I thought perhaps you meant “status symbol”, because I have read that historically, veiling was mainly something wealthy urban women did. Nor was it unique to the Middle East. Roman and Greek women wore veils for centuries before the birth of Christianity, and the practice continued to be common throughout Europe…
“was worn as a mark of respect.”
Maybe so. My supposition was solely based on Paltrow referencing the kids, but if I had reporters asking me personal questions 200 times a day, it’s possible I might not always be entirely truthful with them.
Also, while decriminalization sounds to me like the best option, right now I don’t feel we have enough data to back that up. Hopefully there will be more solid research in the future.
Perhaps, but that’s not my first thought, since Paltrow & husband went on their honeymoon with his kids, her kids, her ex, and her ex’s current partner. Maybe the kids are just having difficulty adjusting.
Common sense is not all that common, and if googling always led to sensible answers, we wouldn’t have anti-vaxxers.
It’s not what I’d want for myself, but I’ve heard of couples keeping separate houses right next to each other, or two apartments in the same building. Some people need their space, I guess.
We are already well on our way. Trump is a tool for evangelicals (including Pence), and he is happy to help them achieve their goals.
More likely: “my girls”.
This is not for roads, but still a fun and useful site: https://www.harriscountyfws.org/
They did not succeed. They tried, by refusing to sign off on that testimony being entered into record. It was entered into record anyway.
Considering the Trump track record on paying bills, I don't think that pub owner should hold his breath waiting for payment.
How many years has it been running? It might be time for it to be over. I enjoy the show, but there doesn’t need to be 5,000 seasons of it.
