When I said “we”, I didn’t mean just individuals. We, as a species, still have time to mitigate climate change. Will we? It’s doable, but who knows if governments and corporations will do what is necessary.

Pence is foul and would continue to suppress science - as well as continuing much of the other shit we are currently seeing from this administration - but there are a few reasons I would prefer him to Trump (I would prefer almost anyone to Trump. Being better than Trump is not a high bar.) I doubt so many people would…
“the internet is basically just a couple of blogs, some porn, and a shitload of death threats being sent everywhere, all the time.”
So many of them won’t be, though. I am middle aged, and I expect climate change to have an increased impact within my lifetime. Maybe they don’t understand how fast it’s happening, or maybe they think they will be insulated by their money, but climate change is going to hit their wallets, too. Insurance companies…
Yes, immigration policy is economic policy, but you are wrong if you are saying immigrants are bad for our economy. They are not. https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2016/10/02/3-reasons-why-immigrants-key-to-economic-growth/#2586a5197dab
Didn’t one of them already offer to send him up? I forget if it was Bezos or Musk.
You’d still be in the position of asking any female employees who are coming from outside the state to risk a lot by working in your production.
I would not be surprised if it was a bit of both. Thinking women are liers + thinking 21 years is too much for rape anyway = they let him go free.

“They decided that 21 years was too much for ‘just’ rape.”
I love the Frida Kahlo homage in her portrait, intentional or not.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with either of them. I would be happy if either were our next President. I do think Warren is the better choice, though, because she has more experience and practical, well thought out policy solutions.
“They have all these ‘ideas’ but fail to follow the logic of what would happen if they were actually enacted.”
That argument will not fly with them because they view pregnancy as a gift, not a problem to be solved. Unless the man is also actively participating in obtaining an abortion, they will consider him blameless - perhaps irresponsible, but fatherhood will fix that!
“Furthermore it has been shown in recent tests of advanced learning algorithms that AI and humans working together towards a common goal work 5-15 percent more efficiently than an AI or human working separately.”
“There is no such thing as a ‘normal technology process’ outside of what, we as a society, are willing to accept. If we decide that it’s unacceptable to destroy low-skill jobs with automation, then it won’t be the process as we adopt a new one.”
“Fellow reader, they will not.”
I clicked on this article because I wondered how something so fragile as terracotta could be used as tiles, but after clicking through to the link, I see they are actually plastic. That is disappointing, because I would love to grow moss on actual terracotta tiles like this.

I misread your concern for wildlife. I apologize. I have run into too many people who are proponents of killing outdoor cats for the sake of non-endangered birds.
“Have I dealt with everything? No. Has it been better since? Yes. I still do this once or twice a year when I feel everything building up and it’s so much better than being prescribed meds that I don’t feel work.”
