Stewart won’t do crap, but just because it’s good doesn’t necessarily mean it will be Star Trek I want to watch. The recent movies and ST:D have put me off Star Trek for a while. I will wait to see this, and in the meantime I will watch The Orville.

The most common response to that argument that I have seen is, “But it’s her fault she’s pregnant! She chose to have sex! She should face the consequences!”.

I HOPE they are misjudging the level of power and control they wield.

Indeed, I am galvanized.

Wasn’t Eliza Dushku assaulted on the set of True Lies? There may be some people associated with that movie that she doesn’t ever want to work with again. I think she’d be great in a sequel, though.

“Modern antimicrobials” are anything that can be proven to have a strong and reliable antimicrobial effect with as few side effects as possible and that can be produced in large quantities. I also hope we don’t have to rely on home remedies for medical treatment, but these researchers are looking for ways to produce

I am not going to read that so that I can remain in blissful ignorance.

Twenty years ago, I would have been in what you would call the moderate camp. Then, Roe seemed (to me, at least) to protect the right to abortion.

Legislating the “rare” part sounds moderate until you start listening to the reasons people have late-term abortions. The only reason to legislate “rare” is if you think women and doctors just like to kill babies willy-nilly.

I think the Trump administration has taken that a step further. Previous administrations were all about gutting funding, but I don't remember their appointees being this hopelessly dense. Yes, they would stonewall, but they at least seemed to know what the questions were about.

Please don't insult otters. Otters are adorable!

No matter how much time she reclaims, he still won’t answer. The most she can do is give him the opportunity to show us all what a useless stuffed shirt he is.

Congress wouldn’t be this weak if Democrats held both House and Senate. Even though I believe Congress has given away far too much power to the President in recent decades, much of our current problem is political, not structural.

I think they used to be worse? Now we hear about it more.

I’m still not for Democrats going on Fox, but if they do, Trump turning on Fox is a silver lining.

Impeachment won’t oust Trump. The way I see it, there are two arguments for impeachment:

Trump may be unpopular with the country as a whole, but he is still very popular with GOP voters. As long as they support him, Republicans in Congress will, too.

The executive branch has been handed way too much power in recent decades. If GOP fear of a power-hungry Democratic president is what it takes to reduce the power of the presidency, I’m fine with that.

I’d rather have a centrist shitheel Supreme Court Justice than Kavanaugh. I’d rather have Biden-appointed judges throughout the land than the extreme conservatives Trump is appointing now.

idk why exactly they like him”
