No magic words. I’ve never asked for a mascara sample and wouldn’t trust it for hygiene reasons. They do giveaways with purchase and points-gifts. Some brands even sell travel-size or deluxe sizes for much less than the big ones.

Stowaway, like every non-PoC-owned makeup brand, doesn’t have enough shades (repeat after me: TAN IS NOT A FUCKING COLOR) and only has boring lipstick colors that will barely show up, if at all, on my pigmented lips. Nice try, though.

And seriously who wears makeup literally every single day? I wear it 5x a week, not every day. Definitely not on Sundays when I’m staying home with my foster kittens.

Fellow deluxe sample hoarder of mascara here. When mascara is small but high-quality and free or about the same price as a big ol’ drugstore tube that I’ll never finish, why not?

Eh, I don’t know. I think “natural” and “fooling” style makeup can be boring and not everyone’s goal with their makeup. Maybe I’m just fatigued because I love me a bright/bold/unnatural lip and/or eye and people are always scolding me for wearing makeup that isn’t “naturally pretty” or whatever.

When I wear a lot of makeup, it’s not to “fool” anyone. In fact, when I go “natural”, I usually finish with a bright lip because I want people to know how much work I put into my face, and others who like makeup can admire me and I can admire them back.
