My mom reads Vogue and other ridiculous magazines full of expensive stuff, and always used to take me and my sister through the “1%-er” section of Nordstrom, just to look at it. She could afford a lot of it, but grew up lower-middle-class so just can’t bring herself to.
My parents have a lot of money, but Dad’s uniform (outside of work) is almost exclusively $30 golf shirts and slacks. Mom goes shopping a lot, and has a handful of designer things, but avoids logos like the plague because “logos are tacky, and I don’t want people to know how much my shit costs”.
Literally the opposite of my parents. We’re not “rich” rich, but my parents both made a lot when they worked. But I pretty much only got new shoes when there were holes in the old ones. And Mom would have laughed in my face if I asked for any brand name shoes when I was a kid. I don’t think I had an article of…
OT: Penny Lane (aka Kate Hudson in the only movie I’ve ever liked her in) is my hair idol. Same curls but she made me really want to dye mine blond.
Not true, Liz Gillies is p. great.
My dad had me and my sister at 38 and 40, respectively. It’s quite a bit older than average, but definitely not unheard of. Like, these days it’s perfectly normal for men AND women to have kids naturally at that age.
Are you serious?

That’s why my parents stopped having kids after me and my sister. :/
The best thing to come out of Gone Girl is that there’s now a widely recognized phrase for those girls. The “I just like hanging out with guys more, cause girls have so much drama!” types. Ugh.
I really, really like math sometimes. It’s so rewarding to make sense out of a bunch of numbers that look like total nonsense at first. But all quantum mechanics related math is a dark and surreal descent into madness for me, too.
They are very bad people but I find them fascinating and I can’t look away I am what is wrong with America I am sorry.
“I” names are kinda tricky, though, cause there’s not many of them. I’ll help Jill and Derek out.
NO.
You mind if I ask what kind of engineer? Because I’m thinking grad school might not be for me, and the physics jobs for BS are p. slim.
Ugh, that guy sucks. I’m sorry.
I mean, yeah. Most aren’t. Most of the guys aren’t really attractive either. Not a big deal.
Dude. Good for her.
I’m 2 years out of my teens and I hate teens.
