Texas. But I guess a lot of places have the same deal.

I almost never wear makeup or real (non-pajama) clothes to classes before 10:00 am because I’m hideously lazy. But I always feel so much better with it on! Plus it’s fun to draw a prettier face on top of my okay face before I go outside.
Ha. I have a “study group” that works on homework together (we spend the night in the physics building the night before it’s due). It’s half the class. And mostly consists of me riding the struggle bus while my smarter friends hold my hand through the problems. I usually get it after a little while but OMG it’s…
Sounds awesome. Good on you.
Honestly I wish I was as outspoken about that as you would be. I’m still so hesitant to ask for the respect I deserve because I don’t want to be seen as overly sensitive or shrill.
Ugh. This.
HAHAHA WHAT
I don’t really know how to feel about Amy. Because I really, really like her show most of the time, but her stand up makes me feel icky.
Same. I realize I don’t get to decide what’s offensive or not, but my first thought looking at the picture was not “that looks like a black woman”. She looks kinda grayish/sci-fi.
Atheists get a bad rap. Most of us, I really believe, are cool, decent people who keep their (lack of) religion to themselves unless it comes up organically. So people don’t really know they’re atheists, usually.
Oh my god yes. I’m an Atheist, and I LOVED “The God Delusion” and “The Greatest Show on Earth” (which got me all excited because it referenced Hillis plots, and Dr. Hillis is in charge of my honors program/a super cool guy in general). If only he hadn’t ruined it by being an ass IRL.
SAAAAME. I don’t understand how the solution to this is not “subsidize healthy food, also offer cooking classes to SNAP recipients on how to cook healthy meals quickly and with limited kitchen appliances”. Because I doubt anyone wants to eat crap all day, every day, but cooking can take a lot of time these people…
Ugh tell me. I went to high school in a really religious neighborhood, and a bunch of the kids would come to school in T-shirts with crosses that say “THIS SHIRT IS ILLEGAL IN 37 COUNTRIES” or something, and act like they’re so fucking brave for wearing the damn shirt in TEXAS, in a country that’s had 44 consecutive…
omg ew.
I didn’t get that from what you said, no worries.
For one thing that is bullshit and you are awesome.
I know. I'd be fine if Maddie was in every one of Sia's videos from now on. But more dancing pls.
Elastic Heart is my FAVORITE on her album. By like a mile.
One guy in my lab was complaining about how this guy was totally sexist and ridiculous and I was about to jump in in agreement like “OMG i know right?” but then he continued with how he was “sexist against guys because he always pays way more attention to the girls and just ignores guys”.
Ugh. I had a physics prof my freshman year who couldn’t go a whole class without making some shitty joke about how women are bad at math/science/driving/everything but being pretty. And also being a grade A creep to the female students. Recently, I learned that the guys interpret that (fucking gross) behavior as…
