I don't read as much as I'd like, but the best fiction I've read lately has been by women. Burial Rites by Hannah Kent is AMAZING. It made me cry like a baby.

Not really. She's had one (not counting the few that were made into Lifetime movies, which I watched all of in my Jodi Picoult phase in 8th grade).

Well okay, obviously everyone should be horrified when their friends admit to raping somebody, and obviously refraining from making the victim's life a living hell is the bare minimum for not being terrible. Although even that seems to be too much for some people, I guess.

I fostered a dog for about 5 months. He was 7/8 years old, generally calm and quiet, and just wanted to sit on my lap all the time. He would have been totally perfect if he didn't shed everywhere (which, not that big a deal since I loved him so much otherwise). Very easy for me to take care of as a college student.

TRUE. I read a few of his books and generally liked them (Fight Club, that one where the guy can kill people just by thinking a rhyme at them). Not, like, amazing works of art or anything, but entertaining enough and easy to read. Then read Haunted. Nope. Done forever.
