If you move to a country that has arranged a tax treaty with the U.S. (and there are many), an income tax regime that is equal to or more than what you’d pay in the U.S., and you have an income that doesn’t exceed a little over US$100K, then you will avoid double taxation. Once you start making “too much money,”

Man, oh man! The writer of this article is in DIRE need of a week long cruise!

Disney plus is already looking to raise prices.

Honestly for me Amazon isn’t as much about the price as it is the simple convenience.

People still use Amazon all the time too. They say they care but in the end they just want their shit as cheap as possible.

It’s difficult to fully compare the benefits of each store and their treatment of their employees, but if you’re curious about which company has a better reputation for caring for workers, Costco is where you should shop.”

Downside of Sam’s Club - you’re supporting the Walmart brand.

This is the correct answer, at least for me personally. The reason most of these places are cheap is because they’re not the kind of places that draw people, either through economic opportunity or through culture. I say that as someone who has lived in three of the places on that list.

The lack of Tim Calhoun on Update or a Falconer sketch was a letdown.

This is sort of “anyone who disagrees with me is part of the conspiracy” bullshit is the sort of idiocy that gave us an entire political party overtaken by QAnon dipshits.

I think everybody who is not an EA executive or shareholder, and I’m probably including the dev team here, would say “um yes”

My brain initially exclaimed “No, they’re not,” because in my current sleep-deprived state I first read that as ‘”Foreskin” and “Michigan” are mutually exclusive terms...’

Blame the real estate pro forma. Buildings are throw-away assets that only need to last during the initial 10 year run when equity investors are paid back their principal. And you can only build a building as nice as its neighbors, even if people would pay more for a nicer building not present in that market.

This show is based on a nearly 40 year old, maybe not forgotten, but not quite iconic kids’ movie and tries to make the same sensibilities relevant for kids today. This should be a laughable mess, but it isn’t.

I mean...by the shows timeline, they’ve been training for like three months now.
