In March 2020 I not only purchased the first brand new car I’ve had in over 20 years, but also treated myself to something special with a Scat Pack Challenger. I’ve only put 11,000 miles on it since and it’s the only new or newer car I’ve owned that’s been garage-kept. In other words, I take really good fucking care

I remain somewhat worried that automakers have finally realized that they don’t need to sell $20,000 cars anymore because obviously all the real money is in the $40,000 and $50,000 ones

It’s Ram for sure. Look at this lineup:

Call it the child killer. Why? You can’t see anything under 5' tall in front of this thing

What the Tonka-fuck happened to the front end of that truck?  FFS, next we’ll have giant dicks and balls as hood ornaments...

It looks like they hired the guy who designed the silverado and then took a few notes from ford. Take the Gaping Maw of the Silverado, and the FORD letters of the Raptor (but make it TOYOTA) and blend them together and out pops this new abomination. (Sorry about the images going wonky and double posting. Kinja is

This is the problem caused by outside designer seeing the current trend.

The problem is that this is completely on trend.

Could someone please tell the Japanese to hire an outside designer?

For context:

Suffering? No.

RE: 1st gear: The local Toyota dealership, I swear the building is only three years old, has about 20 new Toyotas on the lot. It has capacity for a couple hundred, it’s the most ridiculous thing. And I cruise past them with my geriatric, rust-holed Toyota pickup...to the Tractor Supply store next door. I can almost

is the CCP going to send in troops to enforce their new colonies?”

What sucks is that those cops that can recognize that their nerves are frayed or are starting to have PTSD or other mental/emotional effects from their job are not always given the proper outlet to retire early and leave the force. I know one particular cop (friend of a friend) who went through a tough situation. A

Have you considered there’s a labor shortage because 600,000 people died, and not because people “don’t want to work”? I’m so god damn tired of this uninformed, bullshit opinion.

I never feel bad about saying most dealers are scum-sucking bottom feeders. Kia dealers in particular seem to be (barely) one step above “buy-here, pay-here” lots.

Dealers are literally the worst part of the whole car experience. The only time they shape up is when you give them a shitty review on their surveys. A good dealer that went downhill figured that out after my last oil change. When I brought the car in with a bad sunroof gasket, they knew to take care of me.

general public is not very money savvy and you also have a lot of families that are well off and can say “oh f*ck it” at an extra $10k as they really like the car ...because Jonses... and they won’t care if they’re upside down on it later.

I applaud Kia for attempting to muscle in on the “making short term decisions that seem good now, but let Toyota eat our lunch in the future” turf that has been owned by the former Big 3 for so long.
