I’ll probably be paying close attention to reviews and audience response and then waiting to go to a discounted night 2-3 weeks after the show comes out if I decide to go.

It’s more disappointing than anything else, and I think that’s why it makes so many so angry. Like it’s not even really fun to hate watch. It just makes people who are fans of the original trilogy sad.
I classify it in the same group in which appear all the sequels to Highlander: movies that definitely never happened.
Be honest: you just posted this list so that people would fight about how they (dis)agree in the comments.
I get your point, and I, too, am on the fence about this. I think the idea is that she stop drinking (which is something she IS actively working on), and after she’s proven she can do that, the doc will consider the disability.
Well, that certainly explains why Warner wasn’t willing to shelve it even with all of Miller’s shenanigans.
Alkaline water MAY benefit people who have heartburn and/or acid reflux, but then again, you can just add a very small amount of baking soda to regular water and save yourself a buttload of money.
Maybe, but I have a friend whose psychiatrist won’t help her fill out the paperwork to go on official disability for her severe depression and bi-polar disorder (it really is debilitating) because the doctor also knows that she’ll just use the money to buy booze and fuel her alcoholism. While I find this frustrating,…
As this comment section proves, this movie remains divisive to this day. (Personally, I enjoy it, but I do also acknowledge that it’s not as good or consistent as Raiders and Crusade and has a tendency towards hot messiness.)
I was all excited by this headline, but yeah, headline is misleading. Netflix hasn’t given in to the WGA, but shareholders seem to be supporting them.
I have come to the sad conclusion that I will never be able to sleep during a flight (aside from a short, light doze), no matter what contraption I use. Only hope would be a first class ticket with the seats that fully recline since I can only really sleep laying down.
Honestly, if we have any reason to be angry about casting choices in this movie, it’s that they didn’t cast a drag queen to play Ursula. DON’T YOU KNOW THAT IN EUROPEAN FOLKLORE, ALL OCTOPUS SEA WITCHES ARE DRAG QUEENS?!
On sites like IMDb, I am far less likely to care about the score (which can be from people just rating it AND those writing reviews) than the reviews themselves. If I see a well-written, well-thought out review from a user, I am likely to give that a lot more weight than that number score.
When my landlord did a gut remodel after a fire, I was doubly annoyed because not only did they give me practically NO storage space in the kitchen, but they also installed the shortest, shallowest wall cabinets leaving near two feet of space between them and the ceiling. I currently have to use that space for a…
Which the article explicitly states (that this may be correlation, not causation, that is, and that more research is needed).
Ford is about 9 years older than Allen, so that makes perfect sense. Hell, given when it was supposed to have happened, she may even have been 16 or 17. Wouldn’t have been uncommon for a man in his mid-20s in the 1920s to pursue a teenage girl that age, and it probably wouldn’t even have been frowned on, as long as…
It wasn’t uncommon for popular movies to win Best Picture back then. Francis Ford Coppola was of the same generation of “upstarts” and two of his movies, both of which were very popular, won. The Sting and Rocky, which also won Best Picture less than a decade before Raiders, were also both huge, popular hits. It was…
Regardless, the Nazis would have lost. If Indy hadn’t gotten involved, they may not have found it at all. If they had managed to do so, they would be dead. Sure, it wouldn’t be in the hands of the US government, but either way, the Nazis wouldn’t have benefited.
When I heard that song as a little girl, I assumed she was lying to Ariel to manipulate her into signing the agreement.
That is a perfectly reasonable possibility. Those who can better tolerate the pains associated with exercise will be more likely to stick with exercise.
