On the one hand, R.D. may be better because he lacks the charisma and cult following that Dummy has, which means that hopefully he’s easier to beat than Dummy should he end up the nominee.

Feeling less pain as a regular state might not be the best thing. Developing drugs that better help with pain management based on what they discover here would be the better option, I think. However, the faster healing would be a boon, definitely, especially for older people who heal increasingly slowly.
I wonder if the fact that exercise itself can be known to cause pain (either in the moment or in the aftermath) is something that trains people who exercise regularly to tolerate pain. I will never fully support a “no pain, no gain” philosophy to exercise, but there are some things that will hurt and that are OK (and…
As Tony Zhou astutely points out in his video “Edgar Wright - How to Do Visual Comedy,” too many modern comedies lean too heavily on the comedic chops of their actors without using film comedy to its full potential. (Though I also think the movie would have been better with a smart script that the actors actually…
While I can’t necessarily say 2016 is better than Afterlife, I will say I enjoyed 2016 more. I don’t think it’s good, but at least it didn’t pander to fans constantly by trying to recreate the original.
As always with DIY, especially large projects, assume it’ll take longer than you expect. Take the time you think it’s gonna take. Now quadruple that, and then add a little extra on top. It’ll take longer than that.
While I love to support the book industry, at the same time, books are expensive. Start using your public library more, especially on books you’re less sure about whether you’ll like.
Look, while I think Allen is a piece of shit, it’s not worth literally dying unnecessarily to prove one’s commitment to that point.
Oh, if nothing has convinced them yet, nothing will. They have fully consumed this Kool-Aid.
Yeah, except it just looks like you have the money until you try to spend it and realize you never actually got the money in the first place.
Oh, honey. “I like vanilla” and “I prefer chocolate” are different views. This seems more like “toxic views.”
If memory serves (and I’m no lawyer), our Constitution established the three branches of government as a method of checks and balances on each other. So, yes, that means that Congress or the Executive branch damn well CAN investigate a sitting Supreme Court Justice if they deem it necessary.
Though, if we’ve learned anything from John Mulaney’s recent comedy special, being high on coke doesn’t make you actually aware of anything. (He references an prolonged interview he gave while high, of which he has absolutely no memory.)
Just like how the AIDS epidemic only became a “problem” when it started killing straight, white people.
Even though I love the Lost finale, I do understand why a lot of people didn’t like it.
Bran being elevated to king is probably the GoT equivalent of that one king who really does a lot of good for his kingdom and who will be remembered by history as a great leader, but who is preceded and succeeded by complete mediocrities and fuck-ups. He’s Catherine the Great. He’s Louis XIV of France. He’s…
As others have noted, the actual finale episode of GoT is actually not as bad as the final season on the whole.
I get why it frustrated people. It went in on emotional closure without (satisfyingly) answering the billion questions the show had set up. It really depended on which aspect made you love the show as to whether you liked the finale.
Then that gets to the next point where I don’t understand the politics. All of Europe is in love with Sweden or some shit? WHY?
