As much as I have liked Majors and would love to find out this really isn’t true, reading those texts, I kept thinking about how abuse victims will so often come to the defense of their abusers and how it’s so easy to read those texts with that in mind. They really didn’t do anything to exonerate him.

I feel like this is yet another way that they’re just telling people, “Hey, you know what? You should just pirate more.”

Mine, too. It’ll just mean I’ll need to prioritize.

When it said there would be three Carpenter movies in the list on the They Live entry, I was struggling to figure out which Carpenter movie other than The Thing should be there AND be higher than They Live. I can’t say I agree with their assessment.

I think that there is as good an argument to include any of those in this list as They Live, which is arguably more sci-fi.

And how they absolutely should not have been swayed. I mean, maybe it doesn’t fit R, but R is a better fit than PG given the amount of gore, even if it is cartoonish. (Thank you, Gremlins and Temple of Doom, for being a couple of the movies that granted us the studio beloved PG-13.)

“Reducing alcohol consumption” - eh. Indulge in whatever self-destructive behaviors you want, as long as you don’t hurt anyone else. I’m not your mom.

They blatantly thought I was treating them like idiots.

I would love to see everyone have to work in customer service for like a year out of their lives. Like mandatory military service in other countries. It would maybe make people who act like this understand how it feels to be treated this way.

My job isn’t IT, but there are online sales associated with our office, and we has to perform tech support at times for people having difficulty using the site.

In my experience, it seems to be a cognitive dissonance thing. Some people have so much of their self-image wrapped up in being right or not doing wrong that they are completely unwilling to accept that they have been wrong, even when you can show them that it was definitely their mistake. So, they take out their

As a manager in a customer service office, I 100% do not subscribe to “the customer is always right” as a philosophy. The customer always deserves to initially be treated with respect (at least until they show an unwillingness to be respectful in return), but HELL YES, sometimes the customer is at fault. We even have

This was definitely the part of the novel that I found most terrifying whenever I have read it. It’s also a part of the book that most film adaptations tend to skip over (or cover only cursorily). I’m guessing the filmmakers here probably had similar feelings that it’s a part that could stand to be mined for what

Nah, we upgraded to murder hornets.

On a related note, you may notice with a credit card that charges show up on the card immediately, but refunds can take up to 5 business days to appear.

I hope that works well for you. I was on allergy shots for a few years, but I never noticed any discernible difference with my allergies, especially the dust mites, which remain my biggest reaction (and are basically unavoidable unless you want to live in a damn bubble).

I take Zyrtec year round for my delightful dust mite allergies (it’s the allergen that celebrates EVERY season), and I have recently started supplementing with an Allegra in spring for an extra boost against the few grasses and trees to which I’m also allergic.

WE’RE BEING OVERRUN BY THE COMMONWEALTH!

Yes, and even as a child, I believed Ursula was lying and being manipulative in that moment. I think the audience is supposed to believe she’s lying and being manipulative.
