Important side note about leather: learn how to take care of your leather. Get yourself a good quality leather conditioner (I use neatsfoot oil) and as soon as you buy any new leather item, give it an oiling. This will help keep the leather from drying out and help protect it from stains. Depending on how long you

There’s kind of a time and a place for this in live theatre. As a theatre professional, even I have a hard time describing that place, but it’s one you know when you’re there. If the whole experience has a more audience participatory vibe (e.g. Rocky Horror) or is generally a more raucous audience experience, then

Updating “Kiss the Girl”? Yes, please.

There is presidential precedent. (Jackson ignoring the ruling in Worcester vs. Georgia). It’s not exactly an admirable precedent, but I’d argue if there were ever a good reason to follow it, this is a good one.

There are certain exercises to which I have simply said, no, absolutely not. I’ll do lots of other exercises to target associated muscles, but not those.

I’ve only just recently become privileged enough to have some passive annual income, but imagine making over $1.8 MILLION a year just from one song that heavily samples a song you wrote. That’s not just “never having to work a day in your life again” money. That’s “being able to live in moderate luxury while never

I get why to update “Kiss the Girl,” but “Poor Unfortunate Souls” is a fucking villain song. She’s trying to entrap Ariel by playing on her insecurities. I really hope they aren’t tweaking the “Men up there don’t like a lot of blabber...” part because I think that’s one of the most genius parts of the song. (To this

I’m just baffled with how a 6 year old gets to be this violent. I know kids can be nightmares, but yeah, it seems like a kid who is so violent as to attempt to murder two different adult teachers over two different school years is a kid that wouldn’t have flown under the radar (and indeed, it seems like he didn’t).

Now playing

I look forward to reading this. I really enjoyed Smith as the host of the Black American History series on CrashCourse. I highly recommend watching them:

This isn’t about politics — right now there are people who are suffering with depression in red counties and blue counties. If you need help, please get help.

I call hard bullshit on weeding. Libraries weed out books that are very old and aren’t circulating/being used. Some of these books were published less than 3 years ago. Make up whatever excuses you want, but it’s a hard argument to make that you’re weeding out a book that fucking new because of disuse.

Even Kirsten Dunst was older than the part is written, though. If memory serves, Claudia is supposed to be around 5.

Additional prize in this: the DAY this news came out, a Wikipedia editor had added it to the Wikipedia page as an example. (Wikipedia editors are ON TOP OF THAT SHIT.)

🤞 COME ON, GEORGIA! 🤞

Yes, but it’s always the money where they get caught. (See also: Al Capone.)

Actually, it’s more like, “Former president and convicted felon Donald Trump dies in prison.”

THANK YOU! I guess I missed that or didn’t connect that that meant comments section change in the excitement of all the other info. (Though I am curious to know if they can divulge if it’s an existing platform, like Disqus or something similar.)

The sunrise alarm clock only helps if you usually wake up when it’s still dark and/or sleep in a blacked out room, and you don’t sleep with a sleep mask on. I have a job where I usually don’t have to be at work until noon, which means I usually sleep until about 10. At that point, the sun has long been up. I got used

Also, laundering a sleeping mask is SO much easier than laundering those heavy curtains. Adding those curtains to your room is a nightmare for anyone with dust allergies.

What is this going to mean for the comments platform on Lifehacker? Will it remain attached to Kinja or migrate to a new platform? You mention comment moderation, so that implies comments won’t be going away. I’m just curious how they’ll work on here going forward.
