This is a straight failure of reading comprehension.

I never said the author’s vision had to trump player agency; I said that reconciling any definitive “endpoint” in a narrative with previous promises of total player agency is difficult primarily because there are too many paths that players can take in order to reach

My Kassandra is into both; because she’s got it like that!

Honestly this could EASILY have been fixed by just having gay romances adopt. If gay characters or even straight characters DONT bump uglies then just do a bit of a baby showing up magically at the door as by some gods or something... i havnt played the game but honestly you can still fudge the story and have it be

On one hand. I think some of the backlash is too much. “Punch in the gut” cause your character had a baby and got into a relationship is too much. Its not that serious.

Can you chill it for a few months and stop getting all these games cancelled? Need something to play this year! ;)

I’m genuinely impressed by the accuracy of your reporting over the years. There’s some outlandish shit that i’ve thought to myself, “there’s no way this can be true,” and low and behold you called it way beforehand.

2019 sure has started off with a bang...

Not like LucasArts’ final decade was much better! Star Wars is just cursed. Disney should do what it does with Marvel and hand it out to as many developers as possible.

Thanks for the responses guys, there’s definitely no excuse for this nonsense then. How could they mess this up so bad? Was it a secondary dev team working on the DLC that missed the memo or something?

This is not true anymore. They can just use their blood, and both Odyssey and Origins are based off using blood from people that the main-timeline character is not related to.

The DNA used in Odyssey comes from the handle of the spear, not a descendent. In Origins, it was established that the new Animus tech can take magic DNA samples on the fly.

At one point you take a sample directly from a mummy.

In Origins, access to Bayek’s wife Aya’s memories was granted by accessing her mummy in the present day, so there are definitely handwavy ways of getting Kassandra’s/Alexios’ DNA into the Animus without babymaking. Particularly since, <spoiler> if you play a certain questline to its conclusion, she/he survives to the

I think it’s insane that anyone buys cosmetic upgrades in a single player game. There are expensive special additions that have some shitty skins and a weapon, that people actually pay money for.

Probably because your view is incredibly reductive.

I love this game; it’s easily my #2 game of the year (God of War is #1), and my favorite AC game of all time. When they originally announced it, I saw it as a quick cash grab building off of Origins engine... and I’m so very glad to say that I was wrong.

Are you legitimately saying you would have played Smash Ultimate 7 hours less if the game came with all characters unlocked?

I have 80-90 hours, still haven’t hit the new level cap (i’m mid 60s, unsure where exactly), have not beaten the main quest line yet, and still have 4-6 provinces/islands i never even visited.

I’ve opened up a little less than half the world map, have barely touched the main story missions at all, and I hit lvl 50 a week ago (though isn’t the new cap 70?).

I generally like big, open-ended maps in games like this, but Odyssey’s is absolutely too big with waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much to do. It’s not

If i could pay 5 bucks to speed up the battles in goddam xenoblade goddam chronicles 2 i’d do it.

This is how I feel every time I start up the game.  I’m currently ~35 or 36, but there are so many areas I haven’t been to that are under my level, and so many things I’ve skipped along the way.
