I’m with you on taxes because those taxes go to (theoretically) the betterment of all citizens under a government. So by taxing the rich less, that’s less benefit lower-income citizens receive because the government has less to spend. Individual politicians may also be incentivized by the rich to lower taxes.

SPOILER: In the aforementioned orgy scene, it is heavily implied that you get to fuck not one, but TWO goats. Best party I’ve been to in a videogame, 12/10

But how do you really feel?

Because Microsoft has done nothing to attract anyone. Where are their exclusives? Why was their system $100 more expensive at launch? Where is their VR? There is zero reason to own an Xbox this gen unless you are really really into Halo and Forza. Meanwhile, if I want to play the best games of this gen, they’re all on

I find it funny people are “forgetting” this ever happened. They goofed big time and simply have Sony the win before they even launched.

You must have forgot when Microsoft shit the bed and Sony literally just had to do the opposite. Their first party titles are fucking killing it too. I don't suspect this success will last into the next generation, but it was effortless for them this generation.

Well much like throughout their history, they “won” over their competition by simply being the company that didn’t screw up. Microsofts’s horrid initial showing of the xb1 and the announcement of it’s “always on” policy scared people away from it, even though by release time they had reversed all of that and it’s just

In the midst of all that, Luke still found time to blogsplain how an RPG works.  Because, obviously none of us knew, in an RPG, the more you play, and the more you do, the higher level you get.  Higher level means being able to equip better gear and do even higher level quests.

Because they are there and some of them lead to your main objectives, even if you do not realize them. There is really no need to avoid anything that has a gold quest icon.

Same. I completed all main quest lines (sibling, Atlantis, Kosmos), climbed to the top of the mercenary rankings, maxed out my ship, and became champion of the arena in ~80 hours.

I agree with every other part of this except I still don’t understand the complaints about grinding. I was over-leveled for almost the entirety of the game. I was a completionist for the first few regions, but after that I was really only doing the meatier sidequests in each new area as I went. I don’t think I ever

What is that? Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has an ending? At least use a spoiler tag, you monster! Wait, it has multiple endings? How am I supposed to enjoy the game now?! /s

Yeah, I had that quibble too, and also back when Heather posted her article.

I am imagining they left that hanging because we are getting more with the Atlantis DLC coming. I would not be shocked at all if we see Layla as the protagonist in that DLC, venturing forth into Atlantis.

I don’t know Luke, the ending of Odyssey was pretty good for me. I liked the family ending and I loved Layla’s ending with a certain someone. What I didn’t like was how Layla was just like “Okay, some amazing shit just happened, let me jump back into the Animus without talking to my team on my headset or reflecting on

Maybe Ubisoft is making these games specifically for me at this point. Something about the way they’re arranged really clicks with me. The way I played both Odyssey and Origins was to follow the main story until it led me into a new region... at which point I’d find the sync point, check out every question mark, do

It’s really weird that you keep calling one of the three main quest lines “main quest” and the other ones “side quest”, even calling out how these “side quests” aren’t even “main quests”. No. They aren’t. That’s why the game quite clearly shows you your three separate main quest lines - Family, Cultists & First Civ -

Ironically, based on that article and how much I loved Origins and Odyssey, I bought The Witcher 3. And I hated it.

And while you explore you can do the side-missions. That is literally why the main missions are usually tiered with several smaller chunks that take you to a new city/island. It expects you to pick up additional missions while you are there.

The Atlantis stuff is very important especially since you’re interested in the overarching story.
