I liked Origins, but I really like how Odyssey doesn’t always hold your hand. It may nudge.

So much wrong here, though to be fair it starts with the article’s obviously false comparison:

It’s 18 hours if you burn right through the story missions, which is literally not how I’ve ever played a Rockstar open world game. Part of what makes them fun is just wandering around doing whatever for hours and hours at a time, ignoring what the game tells you to do.

From what I’ve read today, it comes with a download that integrates the last game into this one. Having never played Hitman 2016, I’m pretty stoked for that bit of news.

I liked the extremely open nature of Hitman.  I could go into a level and just sniper kill people, drown them, poison, etc. and they all be the right choice based on how I felt I could get through the game.   But I do see how that type of game can be not everyone’s cup of tea as my friend hates games like Skyrim…

My understanding is that you get updated 2016 maps in Hitman 2 if you have a copy of Hitman 2016 installed / licensed on the same device. If you don’t, I guess you can buy them as a DLC.

From what I remember, if you own the original you get the updated functionality and style of 2 for free, but otherwise it'll be like a DLC I believe.

I generally hate stealth games and pretty well ignored the 2016 Hitman game in spite of its great reviews. However, I ended up watching a bunch of Giant Bomb videos on it last month when they were recommended to me and was convinced to buy it when it went on sale. While I wouldn’t call it my favorite game or anything…

They had already known to remove it from the 2002 game, and it would be obvious to anyone on the Nintendo of America side.

Their ENTIRE enjoyment of the series as a whole balanced on Game and Watch having this exact animation. Now it’s ruined. RUINED!

I guess you can’t help bad taste. The naval combat in Black Flag was some of the most enjoyable pirating I’ve ever done in a video game.

The ship customization and naval combat in Odyssey aren’t as good as they were in Black Flag, but only because of the setting being 2,000 years earlier.

Bah! Before origins Black Flag was the crown jewel of that franchise, some might still think its better. For shame!

Personally I think donating to HIAS is a great response to this tragedy especially since the shooter referenced them. I hope donations flood in to them, if only as a special “fuck you” to the shooter.
