IMHO, all, and yes, I mean ALL, of the artificial means to equalize the field / randomize the results fall short because they are just senseless bandaids over what is a gaping wound: huge monetary disparities between teams.

Alternatively, if you don’t run into basic problems during testing, that time can be used for more valuable advanced scenario testing and learning.

I won’t keep quiet. Red Bull will be the first to raise a formal complaint. 110% sure :-)

Cyril certainly would not be in charge if he was the least bit incompetent. There must be a lot more to the picture than what you, as an outsider, can see :-)

“You dump Malaysia, Malaysia will dump you right back.”

Inequality is far from a vague concept. Here are just a few inequities in very concrete detail:

“She wouldn’t shut the fuck up.”

“teams seem to have trouble keeping it attached to the cars”

They are working on the new engine formula as well. They are also working to provide a more equitable ramp-up period for Honda.

Something that every other racing series has already managed to solve.

Correction, that is part of the attraction to some, the more morbid among the fan base. The danger is certainly not a draw for myself and many others.

One man’s noise is another man’s song :-)

Who is proposing to go all the way back? Why does it have to be so extreme? Automakers make compromises on sheer performance for looks, even the sound of the engine. While not all of us appreciate the difference in sound between a Lamborghini and a Lada, we should all at least be able to appreciate that F1 need not be

I know many people on the engineering side of motorsports and they would never claim that “that there are no parallels as both exist in different dimensions and have completely different needs.”Silly.

I do remember that.

No one will be requesting 20,000 RPM NA V8s. What’s wrong with meeting in the middle?

I Toto-ly agree lol

You have helped save the world because the leaner fuel burning techniques invented makes for a 20%-30% jump in fuel economy. For passenger cars, that is huge.

Refueling was dangerous, causing not only fires, but fuel in the eyes (Kimi), pit crew injuries from leaving while still refusing, etc.

Everyone? Extreme generalization? Yes? In fact, I see few, if any, people saying that the engine sound is the _sole_ reason for their reduced enjoyment of this era. And, even if that was their reason, how would that be wrong? Just because it does fit in with your own reason(s)? Can we not leave people free to identify
