I mean, the one redeeming value would be the many salty racist players get seeing this message.
“These comments show that gamers are still taking the cake for “most simplistic takes on complex social issues.”
This. There is an IMMENSE amount of toxicity and casual racism displayed by the Call of Duty fanbase. It’s like a magnet for pasty white teens and 20 somethings that love to repeatedly throw out the N word at the slightest provocation.
Not to mention the absolute chickenshit response to the Hong Kong protests last year. It’s not nothing, but I really don’t give a fuck how brands think they can ride the coattails of a public movement without taking any real action.
I’d just like to throw my suggestions out there: Death Note and Ghost in the Shell: SAC. They’re both solid, amazingly written entertaining shows that require absolutely no prior knowledge of or experience with anime to appreciate. I’ve successfully convinced many people who never normally would’ve considered watching…
I’d throw Afro Samurai on this list without a second thought, for similar reasons to watching Samurai Champloo. If you wanted to watch something that’s reasonably short (5 episodes for the main story and a 100-minute long followup film afterwards), wild, action-packed and (if it influences you) stars a black…
Ok, that’s a lot of comments from people who LIKE anime - and don’t get me wrong, thank you for contributing. How about people who DON’T like anime? What don’t you like? How can these dislikes be alleviated? Are some of them preconceptions (and wrong)?
As someone who doesn’t like anime, none of these seem even remotely interesting to me.
The number one thing I care about in TV is writing and delivery quality. The background events, the plots, whatever; if the writing and delivery isn’t good, I’m hard out. I’ve seen a few episodes of some of these shows (first two…
For anyone curious, if you own Mafia II on Steam already, the definitive edition is a free upgrade.
This is the first COD in a while that I’ve played well past launch and actually look forward to play. There were several years there where the series was dead to me. When they added exo-suits and wallrunning and hero abilities, it felt like I was playing inferior versions of games I enjoyed more. This has a more…
One thing I’ve really liked in MW have been the character skins. They’ve had lots of really cool ones without being too outlandish. Also who would have thought a cod game of all things would have a very diverse group of multiplayer characters to pock from.
I’m happy that crossplay is slowly becoming a standard, because it allows communities to survive a little bit longer than they previously would otherwise. Likely, once the next Call of Duty releases, you will still have a large enough pool of people on MW due to crossplay that you can still enjoy the game without the…
Yeah, I can understand that. The battle pass is a huge grind. S1's top tier rewards wasn’t enticing enough for it, but I’m mostly pleased with S2 & S3. I like the blueprints, skins and charms. I play a lot of Gunfight which makes the leveling feel extra slow. I probably only managed to finish S2 pass because of…
This was the first CoD I picked up in a long time and am glad I did. I like a lot of the changes they did. Especially the cross-play ability. It’s been great for keeping in touch with friends on all systems during quarantine.
So maybe I’m in the minority here, but this sounds like a good idea?
Journalists: Gamestop keeps doing what it always does, are idiots

Nah, THPS3 had the better soundtrack. Bodyjar, Motorhead, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, House of Pain, Zebrahead, the Adolescents, and Redman? So good.
Still like this one better, from the first game:
