Its important to remember that back in the PSX era, multiple discs didn’t represent “plot” or content”, but rather storage for lots of FMV cutscenes. The final sections of the game needed a lot of space for video of it’s climactic scenes and the ending. In reality, without FMV, the entire game easily fits on one

Yeah, this is dumb. Nobody’s going to get these two companies mixed up.

Man, Final Fantasy XIV really is the only thing keeping that company in the black, isnt it?

The Steam Deck is easily my favorite video game related purchase in a long time.

For me, Remnant 2 goes on the list. As someone who never played Remnant 1, I had a friend say “Dude, you *have* to play this.” And he was right. Absolutely fantastic game. Turns out looter/shooters can be a blast when they aren’t loaded down by pay-to-win bullshit.

The art department and level designers at Gunfire

And a handful of streamers will buy it to create content and a “Steam banned this game?!?!” YouTube thumbnail video.

This is a really low payout for the amount of effort these guys put into the game if that was the case, which I really doubt. This is just a bunch of guys who seemingly have no idea what it takes to make a AAA game, or anything close to that, while blatantly lying about the game itself.

I don’t understand why everyone is shocked at the latest turn. These two gentlemen behind Fntastic have pulled the EXACT same stunt with two of the three previous games they’ve released. Hype. Release an early access version. Sell stuff. Walk away.

This game just further cemented the adage of “there’s a sucker born every minute.” Anyone who has been around for even a few years in the gaming space should’ve been able to see this trainwreck coming. Of course it might have become a success-against-all-odds situation but that was always the fool’s bet. And yet

Fashion Police Squad might be up your alley.

I dunno man, I’d say the system as is worked fine in this case? Especially if they do give refunds regardless of hours played.

Guess you could say the folks dense enough to buy this thing were only born... The day before.

Well, that’s suspicious.

Agreed. I hate that game journalists called for the death of e3 over and over until it died, only to let it get replaced by Geoff doing his own ego driven summer E3 clone.

They gave what the gamers wanted; Bear Sex

wow theres a lot of sequels in there

As always, there’s an xkcd for everything.

Torrenting can't be stealing if paying for it isn't owning.

Sure, and they were very capable systems, but for a kid, it was a game system (though the music and art software was pretty fun too).

They did? I remember playing microcomputers in the 80's. MSX, Commodore 64. Then there where the 16 bits computers Amiga. And then the 20 bits (errh.) of ms-dos games and windows.
