I’m just thinking of all the companies that would be broke now if they had the same policy.

House of Wolves to me was D.O.A. When they decided to remove matchmaking from more content. I didn't see it as an improvement.
The timing of this promotion is impeccable.
I didn't know that Bungie was the pioneer of the Dewritos Brotherhood. This explains a lot.
I don’t think “nurtured” is the right word. The poor people are like crack addicts.
Yes, the examples of “humane” games in that video are laughable. In my opinion those F2P MOBAs have ruined more lives than the slot-machine MMOs. Every other day I read an article on Kotaku about how toxic some MOBAs are becoming.
I am very concerned that upon Destiny’s success those exploitative tactics are going to become the norm in videogames. They started to creep in MMOs and F2P games. I can only hope that Destiny fails sooner rather than later before this starts to spread out to more AAA games.
I remember the videogame industry had a list of bad game design called the “No Twinkie Database”. I am sure that Destiny checks a lot of boxes on that list.
He has headphones on. Could someone be giving him directions while he’s blindfolded?
Why people would wear those hats in battle?
I haven’t played Guitar Hero in ages, but I remember if I was that awful playing a tune, I’d be booed off it. What happened?
You should stop. This game is not good for you. It’s essentially FarmVille, the FPS MMO. Check the Extra Credits video on humane game design. It’ s one of the things that makes you reconsider supporting a game so toxic.
I have a PS4 and I’m as disgusted as you are. Your money is as good as mine, so I find that practice despicable. Microsoft started it with Call of Duty, which is now on Sony’s payroll. It really made me reconsider supporting the PS4.
Best comment here. You won the Internets.
Turns out that the emotes they’re selling at a premium, were shown at E3 2013, and like a lot of stuff in the game, cut out to be sold later.
It’s bragging that they sold out, “so you all bitchy winners shut up”. Essentially, being a dickhead too.
Kotaku is the PR arm of Bungie. They go far out of their way here to praise Destiny. Every other day here I scroll through articles like “The Genius of Vault of Glass” or “The Genius of the Thorn Bounty”. It’s laughable.
