Same here: in 1977 I was 5, and these guys seemed like the end of times. Until a few months later when this other band called The Sex Pistols started showing up.

I feel slightly better about the fact that I married a woman with the same first name as my sister, and my sister married a man with the same first name as me.

As a huge Ellroy fan...I have to agree. They cut a LOT of fat from that book and it’s all for the better.

See, I’m with John Waters in that I can re-watch it (although it IS gross) because like Waters said it’s either a brilliant art film disguised as exploitation or an exploitation film that has brilliant art in it.

I associate Sublime with 3 or 4 shitty songs, but otherwise....

No sublime and no 311 sounds fucking perfect to me.

This. As someone who grew up in the late 70's and 80's as a kid, this was common at the time (not right, just common) and kids with single parents (I was one of them, a latch key kid) had to be mature beyond our years. Granted I didn’t go to porn parties :)

We can agree to disagree on the G.O.A.T. but I’m not going with Hendrix personally. 

As a huge Led Zep hater, this episode gets an automatic A+++. Everything Beard said is 100 percent accurate about Jimmy Page. I’ll take Walsh over him any day.
