As someone who hasn’t read comics in like 30 years, I love every part of your statement. I can’t give you enough upvotes.
“I hate what you’ve made me” cracked me up
Oh man, for some reason I thought this was about “Archer’s Goon”, a book I haven’t read in a long time but remember loving...
I believe in what I stand for and...wait, how much money will you give me to air some specials?
COC! great band, saw them a lot in the city in the late 80's during the NYHC time.
IT STINKS!

Well, I AM the Cosmos...
I thought best Chris is Chris Bell, but I’m a music snob
BUT DO YOU HAVE OWNAGE - ZMF
The Walk Hard soundtrack is flat out amazing, and such a great example of a film getting the genres of music it’s covering.
This would imply that my ad-blocker is not working...
As an entitled guitarist, it truly pains me to admit that Drums are insanely hard to play (well). I can maybe pound out the Ramones but that’s about it. To me, drums are the engine of the band, the bass the frame and all the rest of us the fancey show off stuff. But it’s those other two that really drive it.
Absolutely. Most are “Father-Son” sort of tomes, but I recommend “Nobody’s Fool” (also a really great Paul Newman film), “Mohawk” and “The Risk Pool”. He also wrote “Empire Falls” which became a great mini-series as well, but I’d start with “Nobody’s Fool” or “Mohawk”
I love Russo and this book in particular (it legit made me laugh) so much like you, I remain cautiously optimistic
I love “Lady Street Fighter” in the way I love “Massacre Mafia Style” or “The Amazing Mr. No Legs”. They’re SO entertaining in all their low budget glory. The worse thing is an exploitation film that’s just dull. You can be cheap, you can be cheesy but at least entertain.
